What doesn't kill, fattens :)

I would be more worried about the rubbish in margarine than peanut butter.

From what I have just read after doing a Google search, it doesn't seem as though the roasting causes the trans fats, but partially hydrogenated oils are added to make the peanut butter creamy and stop the oil from separating from the peanut butter. Even then the qauntity of trans fats seems to be negligible. If you buy natural, or organic types of peanut butter it should be O.K., just look out for "partially hydrogenated oils" in the ingredients.

Not sure if the last one I had is old, but cannot mix it with the oil properly? The Peanut butter is like cement :(

Where can you test your cholesterol 'quickly'?

Try Clicks. The nurse at the Clicks in Westville said to me yesterday that from December, they will be able to test for pretty much most things, and take blood for all sorts of tests too

Crack the thing with the organic stuff is that it goes off very quickly because it has little if any preservatives, not sure if use other organic products but the bananas last 3 days and the veg also goes quick.

If you ever wanna have a compelling reason to go organic read FAST Food nation or watch Food Inc.

Oh yeah and Organic wine is great-very little if any sulfites-so no kopseer or feeling below par the next day.

I cant understand why I cant get free range chicken pieces form anywhere, only whole chickens. Drives me mad. I was also a veggie for 8 years, so pretty anal about what I eat. Meat & chicken must be free range or I dont eat it

my condolences buddy,

what symptoms do get from chowing peanut butter?

eish postnasal drip and then from there it goes onto upper respiratory infections.

when i stopped eating peanuts and other kinds of nuts(the kind that grow on trees and not humans.. before you guys get smart) ;)

my alergies were about 70% better.

You can also make your own peanut butter. Use unsalted unroasted peanuts and mush them with a stick blender. Bit of a pale colour, but the taste is way better than any shop bought stuff. also works out a lot cheaper if you buy your peanuts in bulk.
