I understand the major differenve between MCR and SIR is the eccentric BB which allows the SIR to be run as a singlespeed if one wishes.

I thought that this versatility may be worth having.

Is there a downside other than a bit of weight I should be concidering ?

Oh, and because I saw a SIR frame in NYC on the weekend in my size

I had a SIR I now have the MCR and it runs as a singlespeed, I just could not get that EBB to shut up.

The RS Reba is a great product, but in my view (and experience) you cant beat a Fox. Either the RL or RLC - both have brilliant damping and are reliable as ever. I have a F29RL with the 15mm thru axel - brilliant all round!

As per another hub member, who has spent considerable time on both a Reba and Fox 29er, the Fox is in a different league and is definitely the fork to have

Why ?

Some elaborating would be great as I have used Fox and Rock Shox.

er what's a SIR and a MCR for those of us who know nothing about 29ers???

Niner have two steel frames available.

S.I.R. - steel is real.

M.C.R. - magic carpet ride.
