  1. correct - Zipp also has this option available with their BB30 cranks, but it also has a longer axle which requires spacers when used with a regular BB30 bearings.
  2. does anyone know what brand this is? saw one at my LBS - recognized the brand but cant recall it now? It was R900 at my LBS - so will gladly pay R600 if I can find it in JHB at that price.
  3. i just had mine replaced under warrantee - no questions asked. only issue is that I bought it in the US - so I had to ship it back there at my own cost R1700 later... The technician I was corresponding with said the new 2013 units are working fine - can anyone comment on this? mine is still brand new, i have not fitted the warrentee unit to my bike yet, considering putting on e-bay and getting it sold?
  4. Is there any MTB crankset available at a similar price point?
  5. Any update on Jan's condition?
  6. Is Richard based in JHB?
  7. What do they charge for a respray?
  8. I have used them for training and racing for the past year without any issues.
  9. In my opinion they are anthing but 'crap' - I ride one and have ridden just about every frame out there over the years, I think they are unbelivable frames. The pro's who I have chatted too who ride them also agree, so I am sure there must be some other reason for the sales and not that they are bad frames....
  10. Hi Kiwi Any news on the On-One 29er carbons? when they arriving?

    29er shock

The RS Reba is a great product, but in my view (and experience) you cant beat a Fox. Either the RL or RLC - both have brilliant damping and are reliable as ever. I have a F29RL with the 15mm thru axel - brilliant all round!
  12. I ordered my Edge 500 on Friday at about 15:00 from bikeinn.com - recieved it yesterday at lunch time. Great service, and excellent shipping times - recommended site.
  13. Very interested to find out how you rate the Geax Barro Race 29er tyres. They are nice and light, but i was a bit concerned about their puncture resistance?
  14. I also saw a Buzz Rack at Crater Cruise on the weekend - I've had almost every model of Thule and am quite a fan, but the Buzz Rack actualy looked like a better design to my Thule 943. The 943 really is small for 3 MTB's - only really carries 2 cumfortably (can squeeze 3 in, but not easy). The Buzz Rack was a bit bigger and looked like it could accomodated the 3 bikes much better. The cross-bar attachment system also looked better as it is in the middle of the rack (and customizable) as opposed to right against the boot of the car. Looks like a great product - I would be interested to get reviews from owners of these products.
  15. That's interesting.... for less technical rides, it would be good to get a set of cyclocross tyres with good grip (more aggressive cyclocross tyres) and run them on 29er wheels with a standard 26er frame/shock....
