maybe you should consider getting a towbar - and look at a trapezium, i fitted a towbar just to be able to use a trapezium (maybe because its my dads) but still, i've looked at many bike carriers and the trapezium looks like the best option - for me

I also like the Trapezium because it goes around the tubing and does not clamp it down like the Geoff or Bike Caddy. Slowpoke modded her's padding and I think it works better.

Howzit

I`ve had the thule rack and the saris bones two bike racks.

The thule is`nt simple to attach to the hatch car and i wasnt comfortable with the bikes moving around while i transported them and they got scratched !

The Saris bones rack is far easier to attach to the hatch ,the bikes are much more stable and dont get scratched at all.

Thumbs up for the Saris

I would go for Holdfast..........it is cheaper, it does exactly what it is supposed to do and that is carry a bike and it is local. I like to support local products.

I've had no problem with rust or any bike damage with mine. Thule in my opinion carries a premium because of its name. You are also paying extra for it asthetics (think that is the correct spelling)
