Bike Transport - Jhb To Cpt - Best method?

I want to buy a bike from a hubber in Jhb, but I live in Cape Town.

 

What is the best method to ship a bike down? Anybody had any experience, recommendations etc?

Get them to pack it in a box from a bike shop and courier it down to you.

Could sponsor FRAIL to ride it down probably cheaper

Any courier. Speed services (SAPO), DHL, RAM, Berco. Your local postnet could arrange it but ther normally use Speed services (SAPO) and add a bit of commission.

About a month ago two hubbers did the same thing.

They used Time Freight & both hubbers were happy. They said that it cost them about R250.00.

 

I got a quote to bring a bike from CT - JHB about 2 weeks ago and they wanted about R500.00.

 

Courier is your best option but the bike will need to be packed properly.

Time Freight seem to be the best option price wise ... Estimated price is about R500 depending on final packed size.

Don't use Speed services, I'm still waiting for a saddle which should have arrived 2weeks ago.
