jokes a side' date=' when will you be better Fats?? Hope it's in time for the Worcster race??[/quote']

I'm still coughing up some nasties, and have some sinus issues. Spoke to the doctor that treated me at the Blaauwberg Netcare Hospital, and then another doctor and one of those trained in coaching / sport science / things-that-baffle-us, and they all said the same thing. Stay off the bike for at least two weeks after recovered, then two to three weeks easy riding (no more than 60-70% max hr) and then only resume normal training. Something about scar tissue on the lungs Shocked

So looking at the current time-line, I will hopefully be able to do a Wednesday Killarney the second week in November, and then possibly a race or two after that. I'll ride the Double Century, but looks like I'm planning on helping the 1st 100km's then abandoning at one of the feed zones. You probably won't see me line up with SV's this season Marius, and I'm certainly not risking injuring my heart / lungs by trying anything stupid earlier...

And you need to be strong for Summer..............

damn, that sucks, you missing the whole season, never thought it could be that bad, hectic!!! Well then I'll have to wait till next year to kick your butt on a flat raceWink

Yeah the positive part of it is that I can start building up earlier for summer season while already having taken a break and be ready for those huilly races. Another positive spin-off is that you don't feel like eating when you're ill, so weight loss comes naturally.

Watch summer, going to be interesting Evil%20SmileLOL
