As much as the riders whine and complain about their rights being violated, they are primarily responsible for the state of the sport, and need to take responsibility to bring back cycling credibility. If Bettini has nothing to hide or fear then he has no reason not to sign the "declaration for a new cycling". The press in Germany and France are going to crucify him and rightly so.

He beat riders doing exactly the same as what he was doing. Stop living in a dream world. lance won 7 tours all with drugs and people still think he was good for the sport.
