Bulls VS Specialized

So I used to be a 100% Specialized purchaser but things changed the other day. I went on the Epic ride in Tokai and was lucky enough to get to try a Bulls 29er. The one I rode was the 29er Aluminium frame with XT. What a bike! I am dead keen on getting one now. So here it is,

1 Get a Bulls 29er ali frame. Here by the end of the month hopefully Price +- R8K

2 Get a Bulls Carbon frame. Here by end Feb next year. Probably not going to wait that long. +-R20K

3 Get a Specialized frame S-Works. Here by next month hopefully. Price +- R28K BUT it comes with a fork and seat post.

Here's the question.. WHat would you go for? I am trying to justify the R12K difference for the frame. I know I want to but any advice here would be much appreciated.

I am very nearly sold on the Bulls Ali frame. I met the guy who imports them and he is a great chap. Had a long chat with him and he has time for people. I am not spending millions with him but he couldn't have done more to help. They also pretty new but stock will seem to start flowing once they are sorted. Not like Specialized who only bring in a very small range and stock seems to be an issue. I understand all their quotas etc but hell it is a nightmare.

I ride a Spez and am looking to add a new toy to the lounge and have also been wondering about the much higher price of the spez frames, I imagen the Bulls frames are also top quality though

That is crazy!!!! For a plastic frame from who-knows-from-what-factory!!!

 

There is a lot of unique/boutique brands out there who's frames are much less. Imho

Indeed that is the ali one. The one I rode is exactly the same. Frames comming in early next month. (hopefully) Just need to decide on Fork then I am pretty much in business. It is going to be my first complete build. Can't wait.

Seen the Niners and they are very nice. I will have to say though I prefer the Bulls bike. It just looks the business.

Zula frame goes for 16k, so I would be happy to pay 8k for a good quality ali, oh yes....dam you Top fuel!keep your nice looking bikes to your self in future

The EMD frame is about R6500.00, so you get quite a bit of change!
