So I had my 9104 clip-on rack for sale here on the hub. Just decided to test the water at Thule Centurion where I bought it 4 months ago. Met up again with Emmanuel working there. He first said they would sell the rack there in store at our agreed price. I mentioned that I would definitely trade it in for a rack more suitble to my needs and new car. long story short, I ended up trading my old rack in for a new rack, no issue, no problem no hassles!! All of this in the matter of 30 minutes.

Definitely a store and a brand that has won my loyalty for years to come!

By the way, some of their ride-on racks are now a few bucks cheaper to be more in line with the competition

:D - Ha,Ham c'mon Rudo, thats hardly AWESOME service. I am sure you are pretty pleased to have your issue resolved, but frankly I would have expected them to offer some sort of solution if the item was only 4 months old.

People change cars, thats a fact of life, and if its in good nick they can resell it, so theres no loss for them, and they sold another unit.

South Africans are very easily pleased, probably because in most instances service is so cr**py that when we actually experience "normal" service, we are literally gobsmacked, I am pleased Thule are looking at providing good service and they sorted ya out, but to be honest, it would have been considered fairly normal in most first world countries.

Yeah Grumpy, most of what you said is true, but still, although supposedly "fairly normal" according to you, for me the way in which I was treated and the whole process from start to finish, was excellent.

Yeah, fair enough, its nice that some dealers are trying to provide an international level of service, maybe its catching!. :D

Big  to Thule in Durban as well. My bike rack was looking a bit worse for wear after a few good years of service, so I took it back in to see if I could replace some of the parts. The guys at the shop not only helped out with smiles on their faces, they also replaced all the rubber straps and holders for free. All in a matter of minutes. Bike rack is as good as new!

Now that's the way to keep customers happy!
