How long should a carbon frame last

Carbon should like Mission said last forever, but I've found with the MTB, that while it lasts, it starts looking like crap quite quickly, so maybe a respray yearly would be a good idea

Carbon does not suffer from metal fatigue. Thus if you dont crash it and crack the frame it will litteraly last forever. Alu does take metal stress and will eventually break. To sum it up, the new A380's wings are made of carbon fibre...

 

I have seen carbon frames broken by lesser men (without crashing). Think if I was a bike manufacturer I would be on here recommending my competitor's brand for the Agent
