It's advertised as 50km, the guy makes a special announcement in race briefing, "it's not 50km, it's 53km and....it's actually 48km, nice going 94.7.

You are new here - welcome - but seriously.....???

I missed it due to a wedding, but if this is the biggest problem you found with the race it must have been an awesome event...

Just saying....

At parys island dirtmax its advertised as 60k's, i clocked 48k's!

When we asked the organiser he just shrugged his shoulders.

A k or two makes no difference. 12k's on the other hand irritates me!

Also remember the lines you take make a difference.

Shoee, what a tough guy you are.

One day when I am big I will also aspire to doing the long ones and complain about being short changed.

Shoee, what a clever guy you are.

Point is, if they go to all the trouble of giving you the exact distance, you wouldn;t expect it to be out by 6kms would you?

P.S. I would have preferred it to be longer, if anything, big guy.

Taking a little bit of offence there, are we ?

53-48 = 5 ?

Luckily I am not the "tough" big guy, so rather change it and call me little knob

There is always Sabi, Attekwas, Crater Cruise , 24 hour solo.................

You are really spoilt for choice.

BML - perhaps you should take a look at your computer setup! I clocked 51km on mine.

Also, stop whinging bud - how many races have you done where the actual race and advertised distances are identical!!??

Dangle, the dude added a bit of a margin of error in his calc. Depends on the lines you take when subtracting.

Missed both races due to a combination of the flu, Zamaleks and Jared Leto being awesome.

Well BMl, you are indeed spoily for choice as Dangle said, so PLEASE dont do it again next year.

NONE of the races I di this year was the exact distance as quoted, but what the heck, I get to ride in places I've never seen, get to meet new people sharing my love of the MTB, and I get to appreciate what God gave us humans.

So next time when you feel like wetting your panties, go do it some place else

His first post was a whine, his second post was a typical Hub retort.

This tells me we have a double poster on our hands.

Ricky Bobby

Hope you heal well mate, looking forward to seeing you at the HUB ride.

Dude you big softie!!!

@ Dangle I think the only fair way to sort out the big boys would be a boxing match behind the bike shed after school or in the park but no later than 2pm. Moms picking me u for my piano lessons ;)
