Mudsimus Posted October 16, 2007 Share Is there anyone that can recommend a good two way race radio?
Man with no name Posted October 16, 2007 Share For racing purposes I presume? We use Zartek's Pro 1http://www.zartek.co.za/pro1.htm No base station needed and obtainable from Cape Union Mart. On a good day you can listen in on Bulk Pack Meat's Frequency

Red Zone Posted October 16, 2007 Share I am not sure what the range is on this model but there shouldnt be any interference from other sources. I wouldnt use this system if there is any lightning around.

Gman1834 Posted October 16, 2007 Share We use the Zartek pro 8 radios and it work very good. It comes with an earphone with inline PPT button. Try new world in menlyn<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />http://www.zartek.co.za/pro1.htm You need an earphone with inline PPt button, the vox function don?t work well on a bicycle. The support from Zartek is quite good, im trying to get a earphone with a PPT button on your finger so that you don?t need to take your hands of the handlebar to talk. I used the oregon scientific radios but the earphone plug is not compatible with all ear phones.

Fork-it Posted October 17, 2007 Share what sort of price range are we looking at? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can pick them up for about R450 -R500 per unit, mains and car charger etc incl.
