C'Mon, Burst into the New Year!! Cycle Lab Cape Cobra Training Ride II

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

See you all tomorrow in time to leave at 06h00, Cycle Lab parking lot, West Lake!

Here are some rules & guidelines:

Wheels start rolling at 06h03.

PM me if you need my number.

This is a training ride, not a race - Steady Pace, not Slow or Fast Pace expected.

Stop, not yield, at all traffic lights and stop streets.

Single file and in pairs should the yellow line have enough space.

At all major climbs, those who finish 1st, stop and wait to regroup with the rest of the bunch.

Great to meet Le Turbo.

Great to reconnect with Slipstream Sean, Fakes and Bones.

Thanx for coming out, Manne.

What a route! Very challenging. Must be amazingly intense in racing conditions.

Man it must have been tough if you only getting back to the hub now, I was waiting whole day...

Did Vallie go as well?

I went straight into two consultations after the ride, Spat.

Only Bones & Fakes were with.

If you do this ride on Sunday, I will consider joining you. :whistling:

Saturday is Christmas in my world and the family is coming for lunch.

Thanks Airbender! 'Twas excellent meeting you too - and the other guys. It's good to put faces to names. It's also interesting riding with other people - now I see how casual and lazy my usual rides are! I don't know how you all managed that last part ... Boyes was enough of a drain on me, I can't even think what Ou Kaaps must have been like. Eish!

Agree, LeTurbo, riding in a group is good for one's cycling. Socially and from a strength building point of view.

How did you find the maratime hill?

A bit on the steep side, hehe. It's not really maitime climb, but the fact that you still have black hill and OKSW after maritime... It takes toll on the legs. Wish they would remove that retarded baracade on the reaction climb, sucks having to unclip and walk around at the start.

During the race there is no barrier?

I will go up there this weekend so guess will have to unclip and walk around as well
