Azonic - see a doctor to get the appropriate meds, dont muck about with Shingles. There's no short or easy recovery, but at least be taking the right stuff.

Been to 3 doctors dude. All they give is pain meds. The one doc gave the anti epilepsy pill, which is the most exotic solution so far.

Most of the pills for Shingles cost a fortune and will stuck up your med aid quickly, if i remember correctly it is over R1000 per pill!!!!!

As i said before this old doc told me to just take asprin for the pain, no fancy pain pills just asprin, and it worked? The gap between attacks became bigger up until then using all of the expensive pills it was 3 months like clock work

The shingles follow along a nerve to the ending. At least yours is under your hair, mine was always in the middle of my forhead!!!! always looked like the wife had beat me up again for buying bikes/parts.

Once the "zits" burst that is the end of the attack though the pain can last a long time after. have a look on the internet ( not US) as there is some good info out there?

I don't really have any of the "zits" left, I can feel maybe three on my head. If I move my scalp I can feel the entire area feeling funny. The scalp/neck would be fine most of the day, but you can feel it "building" still. When its had enough you get a feeling in your throat and then the pain attacks hits you, fkin hard. You just want to climb out of your skull. MTB@, I don't think I'm lucky at all, I think in terms of pain I got it the worst possible way. Visually I'm lucky ja, but pain wise, I got the raw deal. The pain attacks hit roughly every 6 hours. Today I had 2 within 30 minutes... :(

I'm taking 9 pain killers a day, and that's not taking into consideration the anti-epileptic pill, the Trepiline, the L-Lysine, the extra Vitamin B, and all the special numbing and shingles creams. And the olive-leaf drops.

It really sucks, I really hope the pain attacks go away VERY soon. Driving my wife to work in the morning is a gamble because you don't know when its going to hit - you have 2-3 seconds to get off the road.
