Police arrived 2 hrs afterwards and did nothing!

 

Can't believe the police actually arrived!

 

At the end of last year I went for a solo training ride on the Robertson road' date=' and about 5km from Worcester I saw four guys standing on the side of the road [i thought they were waiting for a taxi']. As I passed them, the one guy tried to ram a large stick in my rear wheel, while the other three tried to knock me off my bike. I managed to stay upright and cycled on.

 

About one km from Worcester I saw a police car passing and signalled it to stop. I explained what happened, and the police men simply tuned me that unless I'm hurt, they can't go after the guys.

Damn! I am always reading, whether its on the hub or newspaper,about cyclists being the victims of crime... everytime i get on my bike i get nervous! cos if it aint the bastard motorists riding us over then its bastards wanting to steel our bikes! Sorry for hi-jacking the post but I feel quite ill for all you guys out there gettingf hurt and hi-jacked!

Hi all,

Willie here, what a day yesterday, running around to see if I can get a new bike like pronto not to miss 2 much training, opening a case of wreckless driving, police say i cannot make a attempted murder case because I displayed road rage by yelling at him at his drivers window, do not know yelling is road rage, but anyway!

 

To all the people that offered me help and advice and good luck I really thank you from the bottom of my heart:

 

I have been in touch with motorvia and the lady from claims said I must submit 2 claims to them and also my side of the story, the drivers version is something like this " He tried to climb trough the truck window and I was afraid that he will hit me!"    I say nogal with a bicycle clipped on to my feet, would have been a bit crowded in the cab but I am sure we would have managed, ha ha!!!!

Ridiculous what this cops will make up to save them more paperwork.

They hardly have any legal knowledge, let alone training!

Go the whole hog - whether or not you will ulitmately be succesfull in all that you claim, will be decided in court - but it is easier to have a variety of charges dropped, [for whatever reasons], during the later stages - than it is to get additional charges added!
