Thoughts please.

Could somebody please tell me the difference between the Shimano wh r80 and the wh rs80 wheel sets and what I should expect to pay? Thanks

Many thanks for the contact. Yes, it is confusing to me too. The one wheel has a deeper v than the other. Could the one model be upgrade? Carbon composite?

I have no idea. The price new is R2000.

The RS80 is a thin walled aluminium wheel with carbon laminate bonded to the outside to strengthen it. Uses the same rim as one of the Dura Ace models (I think WHR7850), but has Ultegra hubs.

I have never heard of WH-R80 wheels.

The RS80 retail for R4 000 odd if you go through an internet shop like CWCycles.

The RS30 wheel (which costs about R2 000) has a 30mm rim profile whereas most other Shimano wheels have 24mm rim profiles
