Poison Ivy Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Hi All<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> It seems there is some uncertainty with regard to licensed riders and the correct kit that they have to wear, especially here in the WP. If you are riding for a team; you are registered at CSA; either as an individual contracted rider (for that specific team) or as a complete team. On that contract all the sponsors of your team will appear, which in return must reflect on your kit. And once you have signed that contract with a team and your license gets issued by CSA, YOU HAVE TO RIDE IN THAT KIT at ALL licensed events. If you don?t ride for a team and you only belong to a club and you are a fully licensed rider taking part in a licensed event, you also have to ride in only that club kit as indicted on your license. (Let?s say you belong to Harmony club and you are riding SV League with a full license, then you can only ride in a Harmony kit at a licensed event). In the event that you forget your kit at home, or you quit to your team half way through the season you can however ride in a neutral kit, until you have changed your license. In other words, just a plain shirt and plain pants with NO wording/branding on it. And it also must have the right requirements, such as sleeves etc. You can?t ride in just a plain under vest or T-shirt for instance. That?s not cycling kit. If you have a cyclo sport license or at a non-licensed event (funride), then you can ride in what ever kit you like. (your sponsor just might not like it ). And please always check your license to ensure that all your team sponsors and or clubs are correct on there mistakes do happen.
