Rather focus on the correct fit and geometry than brand.

We're talking about a WOMAN here Splat.......99.999999% is about BRAND and COLOR.

Get your mate measured up properly and choose a frame according to her size.

Agreed!

What about Giant TCR composite or a MERIDA SCULTURA EVO 905 ?

Carbon frames with mostly Ultegra

I'm with splat here. You cant go wrong with the Giant TCR ultegra. Best buy for your buck. You could go for TCR 105 I know King Cycles Worcester sells them around the 14K mark. Not to sure what the ultegra would go for.

I vote for a CAAD10, with SRAM Force gruppo.(Don't know if such a combo is available off the shelf) The frame is of legendary heritage and has a lifetime warranty.

The Force gruppo offers superb performance for its price - best buy gruppo if your budget can cover it.

Wheels - any clinchers would be ok, for training & racing in the beginning. Can buy some high end race wheels later, if she likes racing & want to look fast.
