Been lurking for a few months, but now need the Hub's input :)

I'm in the market for a new carbon road bike and have been reading up as much as possible as well as speaking to a fair number of LBS' (that's another topic all on its own ;))

I eventually narrowed it down to either a:

1) Giant TCR composite 1

or

2) Merida Scultura Evo 905-comp

Right now, I'm leaning towards the Giant, mostly because of feedback from this forum. (Also, the Giant LBS' I dealt with were much more interrested in actually helping than the Merida ones)

However....

I can get a Bianchi Sempre for around the same price but here's the question:

It comes with a full Campagnolo Veloce groupset as well as Campagnolo Khamsin wheels.

Now I know the Shimano vs. Campagnolo is a hotly debated topic, but still need to ask the questions :)

So, your considered input on these 3 choices, taking into account that I cannot mix and match.

Frameset: Giant TCR C1 / Merida 905 vs. Bianchi Sempre

Groupset: Shimano Ultegra (or even 105) Campagnolo Veloce

Wheelset: DT Swiss R1900 vs. Campagnolo Khamsin

Thanks!

PS. Have been using XTR and SLX on my MTB's, so know Shimano, but do not know Campagnolo at all.

What size bike are you looking for?

I am biased and would say Bianchi.... for obvious reasons.

I have my bike kitted out with Shimano 105 and Ultegra but from what I have heard from others, Campy is great.... either campy or SRAM (that's my next upgrade).

If the are spec'd the same, go for either. my 2c

I like the shape of the Bianchi and the Giant. It's all about personal preference.

Out of curiosity , what does the cannondale and giant tcr retail for...?

The Gaint TCR C1 (Ultegra) is around between R19500 to R20500 depending on LBS. The same bike in C2 (105) is between R15500 and R16500.

The Canondale, I'm not 100% sure, but likely in the R20K range.
