just yesterday i upgraded downgraded from campy record or SR. man o man, what a difference. the thing about campy is that it actually gets better with time. my record was much smoother than the SR.

the SR is only on my racing bike so it will probly shift better next year,(Yep ask Andy) but damn its worth the wait. haha.

There fixed it....

Also a shim fan.

So what was a pretty groupset for you then.

I thought that the 7900 crank looks better than the 7800......

Would you prefer more carbon?

I did not even like the 7800 ones. I like cranks to look like old fashioned cranks. I have the 6600 which looks like the 7800. It took me a while to like them and they are still just okay. To me the best looking is Rotor or the Cannondale Si cranks. Carbon does not bother me as long as it is not that checkered board effect. Campy's/Fulcrum's unidirectional is nice.

Whats the world coming to!!! Mampara mentioned Camy and the word "nice" in the same sentence

You can maybe read it that way but I actually said the carbon weave that they use on their cranks are nice. Actually I do like alot of their stuff. I would ride it if I could afford it and if they made a mtb groupset. I'm a one manufacturer man so my groupsets come from the same manufacturer.

Shimano fan for 18 years now but I think they are becomming ugly. Hate the look of the new cranks and hate the dark grey and polished silver even more.

The solution would be a Cannondale with Hollowgram SISL cranks and Di2

(except Di2 is not old school, if that is your thing)
