someone needs to get ahold of the agent. may they should pull a toyota and recall the saddles. that is definitly a manufacture flaw. one or two is coincidence three, four , five in the same place is a flaw.

Someone ? Take action. Why don't you write a letter to the agent on all of our behalf. We shall all support you and co-sign it. Lets make the Hub work for us for a change. Power to the consumer !

Are these Gobi's all the XM version? Ive been riding my old style Gobi for more than 4 years on my hardtail MTB, and on a tandem, and it is still 100% :thumbup:

Thank you for the info. We have replaced a couple of units thus far, according to Fizik protocol. When a unit cracks, the consumer is to take the unit back to the store where the bike or unit was purchased from, with original POP, and we will process the claim.

 

We are aware that some bike dealers, will want to rather sell the consumer another product, but this is generally not the case.

 

It is unfortunate that some clients were told that they would not receive a claim, but then again some consumers expect a life time warranty.

This is a lame duck response ! Be a stand up company and state if there is a problem with the saddle or not ! What exactly is "Fizik protocol". What does, "we will process the claim", mean exactly ?

 

Will I have to take my saddle to my LBS and wait for how long before I know if they will replace it or not?

I realise that in SA we tend to get screwed with ridiculous returns policies like the response above but this is beyond the pale. The units are obviously breaking so, instead of trying to weasel out of responsibility with a stupid return policy, just replace the units and ensure that we continue to purchase (and recommend) fizik saddles. As someone said above, who the hell keeps their receipt for a saddle??

I also contacted the distributors - gave me the same thing about supplying my POP.

Who honestly keeps receipts from years ago?

They know there is a problem - why not just replace????
