Grebel Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Off topic, but how do you prevent your bottle from flying out of the holder on a bumpy ride? I often lose a bottle this way. Get a hydration pack! You also suck less mud.

The stupid local bottles you get in your race pack or printed with your favourite LBS' name on does not fit bottle cages properly. Get an international brand bottle like the Rav-x®, Camelbak®, Tacx® or Elite® where the cage actually go over the lip of the bottle and you will not loose them.

Im with you brother, Tacx cages, Ive also never lost a bottle on my mtb - ever, and Like Ive said I use a 1l bottle. I was just wondering if the seat mounted bottles make it different.

I was just wondering if the seat mounted bottles make it different. Eish, my bad never had a seat mounted. I would think they woul dbe the same. Ive had the one bottle for 9 years, lol. Its been retired now
scuzzy Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 With the Tacx seat clamp, does it not stop you from sitting behind the saddle on some downhills? My problem with the Topeak is I don not have space for a rear light, it gets a bit tricky.
