WAIT!! Support the local guys.

Mark Hopkins is making chain guides. They come with a bb mount adapter. I have one on my bike and once it's set up it rocks.

They are way more than R500 but you are gonna pay more than that for a decent guide anyways.

Cal Nils Hansen on 082 538 2101. He will hook you up.

I've got a Truativ box guide chain guide/tensioner that I'm battling to get to fit correctly on my DH bike. If it does not work I'll let you know and you can buy it from me.

guys i know i am doff, most of the time anyway, but what is it used for? cant seem to find what they are for anywhere online.

You use it when you use a single chainring to keep the chain from jumping off the ring. Mostly used on trail, all-mountain, 4 cross and downhill bikes.

Hey Omega, I have priced Csixx's as they are pimping, but at R1400 a piece it is rather steep.

I would if I could...

Give them a call. Maybe they can hook you up with a deal. I have one and I have to say it was set up once and I haven't looked at it since.

i think not agter.. unless the dh bike is SS as well..

on DH bike, there too much chain for that chain keeper in that it does not take up the slack on the bottom as all other cd's do..

Will a combo of a bash guard and dog fang type of thing do the trick?
