You use it when you use a single chainring to keep the chain from jumping off the ring. Mostly used on trail, all-mountain, 4 cross and downhill bikes.

Capricorn Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 i think not agter.. unless the dh bike is SS as well..on DH bike, there too much chain for that chain keeper in that it does not take up the slack on the bottom as all other cd's do..
