RTG7

I also trusted a hubber in selling stuf for me, so he sold my bike (I got the money), he sold my wheels, (got the money), he gave away my polar without getting the money, now I don't have the money, So I guess thier is a

"SKELM" in all of us? It is now more than a year and he did not even give me a call to say sorry

I've GIVEN stuff away and still got bollocked around. Got about 30 responses for a free dog kennel - do you think anyone pitched up? I wasted at least 3 evenings. Same with a load of approx R10 000 kiaat, mahogany, beech etc when I closed my workshop - eventually, the bergies in Woodstock dragged away 4000 X 400 X 30 planks of kiaat to buikd their shacks along the railway lines because I had to be out that day. Heartbreaking. So I know what joey100 is on about.

Maybe the post should have read: "BAD Buyer - RTG7"

Lol, a bit unfair. I think "Misunderstood attempted purchase".

This should have been dealt with differently. Not on here. Joey 100 ain't a BAD SELLER IMO. Sure a "sales blip" in regards to giving the goods away to the 1st come 1st serve dude.

But WTF?; posting "bad seller" as a headline, just isn't on.

You are kidding me....What I would have given to rumble through that pile of wood when I built my bass guitars :cursing:

For the record, Joey100 is a good guy and doesn't deserve to be labelled bad. You still have your money and you didn't actually waste a trip to go fetch the saddle.

I believe in basic common sense. Buyer, if you say you will pick it up at a certain time, be there otherwise the sale goes to the next guy. Seller, if you are not happy to hold the stash for a day or two, say so so that the buyer can look for another one while you sell it to the next guy willing to collect - at the agreed upon time obviously. It's all 6 of the one and half a dozen of the other.

I haven't had a bad experience yet but I am usually not so hardup to sell something that it must go today anyway. If you are, drop the price and Bump it a lot, the right guy will see it eventually.

Guys I did tell RTG7 thats he can collect but when i spoke to him yesterday I also said i cant keep things for people and that first come first serve. I just kept a group set for soemone on the hub 2 days later he still coming with the cash.

Early bird catches the worm.

That said i did sms him to say i have another buyer.

It is understandable that you are upset that you got messed around with that grouset, but that does not mean that you can go ahead and do that to someone else now.

As much as you would like to keep your options open due to bad past experiences, just remember that your buyers say no to other options (that they could loose out on) as well when they commit to you.

You do unfortunately get people that deal in ways that are less ethical and undesirable both on the buyer and seller side of things.

Just remember, this time you were that guy...

I think that is bad form, bad manners and downright rude but ja we don't all have the same level of morals and idea of what's 'right' .... just saying .....

Well said, I agree it`s a bit harsh to label him as Bad on the Hub, just because you missed out on your saddle.

He is a good dealer IMO.

Guys i did say who ever comes first can get the saddle. Wheres the harm in that?

I sold the saddle for R500 rand and it was a Fizik CX which was a good price IMO. Obviously you cant wait a day and expect the thing to still be around?

just as a seller dont like to be stood up... so a buyer doesnt like it. It's a matter of integrity - some people have it, others dont.

I'm with RTG7

If a deal is struck over the phone, it is still a deal, and should be honnoured.
