Can those who participated this year please post some feedback on your training for the past 6 months so we can see what it takes? Weekly hours, intensity, amount of rides >4 hours etc etc.

I would love to know what the average training hours per week was since December '24, for the slowest 25% of the field.

And a lot of people paid big money to suffer.....🤣.

Today's bad day for Matt and Keegan might be a blessing in disguise. The week is still long with brutal climbs waiting. Some guys already burnt matches meant for Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

This! The race starts the first time at Smitswinkel and then the second time at Chappies. That's where the freeloaders actually have to work so the splits means nothing if your legs cannot keep up on the climbs....

I always laugh at my fellow competitors sitting in a queue for 10 minutes waiting to park as close as possible to the main entrance/venue only to go and cycle 100km. Just park 1km away and make it easy for yourself.....
