  1. This! The race starts the first time at Smitswinkel and then the second time at Chappies. That's where the freeloaders actually have to work so the splits means nothing if your legs cannot keep up on the climbs....
  2. First service whether minor or major is free from my local store.
  3. Officially no. If you finish early enough to start with or before the last group, just blend in a go for it.
  4. Podium ranges between 13.8-14.6 hours.
  5. The phone is supposed to be a brick when you disable it after being stolen. That should in theory render it useless and worthless. There must be ways around it otherwise nobody would steal phones.
  6. And the so called Apple security features are almost as useless as the SAPS😡
  7. I always laugh at my fellow competitors sitting in a queue for 10 minutes waiting to park as close as possible to the main entrance/venue only to go and cycle 100km. Just park 1km away and make it easy for yourself.....
  8. It depends if you know your way around going over an a-frame. If you are a mountain biker, it's easy peasy. The fun part is the bumpy single track, which isn't gravel bike friendly, inbetween the a-frames
  9. All the info here means absolutely nothing without better facts. What is a harder session? Is it tempo or VO2 max? Sprints? 120% of FTP? Racing. How long is the race? How hard is it? What is the RPE? Burning fat can only happen when you are cycling at an intensity where your muscles can access your fat stores. An easy ride might not be easy enough for this to happen.
  10. I see some guy with NP of 320W /Ave 299W did 1:48 in Cat 3, so 320W TT for 2 hours is slow....#justsaying
  11. I see when they see the light. I’m a motorbiker as well so I’m tuned into “reading” drivers
  12. I can honestly say that a front light makes a huge difference, especially in the afternoon or during congested traffic where a car must cross a intersection and a bicycle comes into the intersection. That light helps the motorist see the cyclist in time I also use front and rear lights all the time as the only thing I can lose by not doing it is a few limbs. Those who don't do it have never surfed on a car's bonnet. It's not fun....
  13. Navigation isn't the issue. Last year cars and cyclists were facing one another head-on because there weren't any road closures. Cyclists were going around the circles on the right.
  14. I'm glad you noticed my post. Next time you'll feel guilty for not contributing and maybe you'll even do your bit as well to get the ave speed up😁
  15. Nothing wrong with Kenda or Bontrager.
