  1. Ja and then two minutes later he says he rides a fake bike (but the shop doesn't stock or push them). Ummm...sure.
  2. Sheesh just watched the clip. Andrew, you've got the temperament of an angel. If I had P'sOS lying to my face like that, suggesting I take a lie detector test, I'd strip my moer big time. What utter douchebags.
  3. The right price is the price that the market will bear.
  4. [Robbie and John sold fake Pinarellos].....regardless of the fact that [they were] jeopardizing [their own] livelihood. [They have] only [themselves] to blame [for breaking the law and misleading their loyal clients]. No one put a gun to [their] heads. Take responsibility! There, Corleoni (gangster, huh?), helped you out a bit.
  5. Here's a thing. We all know who Andrew Armstrong is. He has the courage to put his name and face to his claims. Who are you?
  6. Roll the dice pay the price. Don't like the consequences? Then don't gyppo the system. Simple.
  7. So, after all this...is it about the bike...or not? This particular Armstrong has made a case study of the concept of 'don't get mad...get even'. Well played, sir.
  8. Andrew, I'd just like to say, you are a freakin legend. Happy birthday,
  9. Fair enough, apologies for suggesting otherwise.
  10. Get your bike serviced in Aussie. Or watch some You Tube, 90% of routine maintenance can be done by yourself (if you're into that sort of thing).
  11. That borders on vigilantism. Which is also criminal.
  12. well, now we know where the yodelling comes from. Poor cretins trying to find their Chinarellos.
  13. Endemic cretinism. Seriously, cretinism was endemic in Switzerland - iodine deficient soils or some such.
  14. Business exec versus bike shop guy. Experience tells me which one I'm likely to back. All the best Andrew.
  15. Plain as daylight these chaps are wriggling to get out of an untenable position. Most of what's stated above has eff all to do with the crime. So what if AA thought the bike was the best ride he'd ever had - what's that to do with the price of Chinarellos?
  16. Bang, bang, BANG on. Andrew has gone as far as to share correspondence with Pinarello and ASG AND a photo of his Chinarello, to get dumped on by 'TheV' and others. This is a man who won't resell the Chinarello out of principle so probably doesn't feel the 91k hole in his pocket as much as he feels the righteous ire of being ripped off.
  17. The gonners smells. Don't ask....
  18. WTF is wrong with you people? Ten minutes with Google will tell you that Andrew Armstrong, posting under his own name, is a senior executive in a multinational IT consulting business. People like this make serious money, so 90k for a bike is standard fare and if he got a fake, he will get another and then sort out the fake in his own time. You should be thanking the man for coming on here, UNDER HIS OWN NAME to warn other people of the ride he has been taken on.
  19. I always used to say, 'That kid will rule the world someday'. More than probably the most capable cyclist SA has ever produced, Burry was just a down to earth, real nice guy. What a massive loss. Stay safe you guys.
  20. Thanks Wayne - I've been missioning . Forgot my password and wasn't bothered to find it again for ages, tired of remembering how to log into god knows how many forms of social media haha, 'donor fatigue' as it applies to SM...
  21. Very good points Grumpy. When my brother died, I did not allow for his organs to be harvested because I didn't want his body being cut up. He'd had enough pain and suffering in life and to me, allowing an autopsy or organ harvesting would just be more unnecessary hurt.
  22. Thank god Andy had those faceguards. My brother was doing W2W and he reckoned cancelled cause the medics couldn't get to riders if they needed to.....
  23. Very sad story. Well said Joe Low. I sure as hell would not want to die 'doing something I love'. I do the things I love for fun, not to die (and a lot of those things are risky). And I also want to live for as long as possible, after all you only get one life (and it's not short, it's the longest thing you'll ever do).
