  1. Nah bru. Red Bull is clearly the class leader. Monsta is sheeeeeeeite...
  2. That's why you jump with flat pedals. Just eject and drop and roll...
  3. Yeah, I wear white. Road, MTB and Downhill. Who cares what others think.
  4. Not touchy at all. I always get asked about why my saddles point up. I like the intense in work's trim. New colours are cool, but Cove had had those colours for a while now.
  5. Draw a diagonal line. Draw a bike on it going down. Draw a rider with his weight back. Now see if the saddle looks out of place.
  6. Depends on my mood... Either a Da Bomb XLR-8R Dual Slalom / Dirt Jump Hardtail Da Bomb Cherry Bomb 4x / Slopestyle Full Susser or Cove Hustler XC/AM full susser. I usually take the cherry bomb though. Is the mostest fun to ride...
  7. Noli, Come ride the Spruit with us. Sort of a mixture of extreme-ish XC / light freeride. Loads of fun. What are you riding other than your Glory?
  8. I recently built a brand new bike for a mate and it seemed like the 12t gear was slightly out of alignment. (On a 34x11 cassette) SRAM. All the gears changed perfectly with the exception of 11 and 12.
  9. LOL... Some wise man said "the meek shall inherit the earth..." now get the **** off my trail
  10. So we have a deal then. You won't ride over jump lips the wrong way and I won't jump close to you. I think that's reasonable.
  11. Acroblanc,I take it then that you have picked up tools and have done work on the spruit. I don't recall seeing you at 6am when we are fixing these lines. You ask how we got our special one directional jump heaven? We built it. We're not saying XC riders are not welcome to ride them. We're asking that you don't destroy the lips by riding the wrong way over them. Is that too much to ask?
  12. MTBVIP, Actually it was me. Where you rode was not a trail that has been there for 2 years as it was only built last summer. It is a jump line and there are guys putting effort in to put in alternatives to the normal (boring) line. Until you guys start putting some effort into developing trails yourselves, please respect the work put in by others by not destroying the lines that are obviously built for one way traffic. All the discussion on this post is who has right of way on multi-directional trails. Now we are talking about a one-way trail. You never have right of way going the wrong way on a one-way section of trail. I think this is a reasonable request. You cross country boys think that everyone must give way to you, but never consider anyone else in your self-centred equations. The jumps have been built for everyone, it is not an exclusive club, but please don't destroy the lips by riding the wrong way over them. I will concede that I acted a little irrationally, but those jumps have just been rebuilt due to XC riders destroying them.
  13. Oh ***, I have a limited edition world champion fork on my DH bike. I'll have to take it off. What should I do with it?
  14. Boys, today we're going to session the DH track again. Hopefully will get some shots to show you.
  15. Hey Cap, I am in Les Arcs. Got a couple of Junior WC racers in our group. Man these boys are loose and fast. I just like being airborne.
  16. Greetings from the Alps. Wish you were here ...
  17. Classic. I have a little dilemma too. My order is arriving Monday and it's a public holiday. Will have to wait until Tuesday. But it's just in time for my little trip to the Alps which is Friday. Hope there are no delays.
  18. There was an action group that started engaging with City Parks to approach this properly and using the appropriate channels. Long story short, 2 years, lots of effort and talking, and other than an approval in principle, no action by city parks and no approval to start working on it as yet. Proceed with caution, as the Peter Harten issue is as far as I know still ongoing, and you put yourself at risk.
  19. What a retarded discussion.
  20. Tulula came with an ISCG 05 mounting. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/73736-new-bike-build-project-the-beast
  21. Sorry Diepseun, Forgot all about it. Yes I have an ISCG 05 adapter at home. Where are you based? You pay for postage you can have it. Us DHers need to look after one another.
  22. Sweet Sweet
  23. We're going to abuse her proper tomorrow morning. I'll have my HD helmet cam, so bring on the style Peachy my boy.
  24. Diepseun, Go home tonight and do the following:- 1.) Flip the bike upside down and measure the width of the bottom of the BB shell. I guess it will either be 68mm or 73mm. If you have an 83mm crank, you will not be able to get your chainline set up properly. If this is the case, try and sell that crank and get a 68-73mm Crankset. 2.) I take it your frame does not have ISCG mounts, so the e-13 chainguides do have the mountings which fit around your BB cups instead of one of the spacers. Just make sure you get the right sized one as there are 2 sizes, which the guys mentioned to you. ISCG 05 and old ISCG. If you tell me which size guide you have, I may have an adapter at home for you. Take some photos and post them, so we can visualise your dilemma. Good luck bud.
  25. If any of these LBS think that they can influence the customs treatment of CRC supplied goods, they will have a hard time doing it. The only way customs can black-flag an international supplier is to issue what is called a value determination. This is however only issued where the supplier and the importer have a relationship which may influence the price of goods imported. Therefore, as CRC sells goods to all and sundry, there is no way in hell that anyone will be able to question that their prices are not at arm's length, and therefore no reason for a VDN (other than the obvious fact that unless your father is the owner of CRC, there is not relationship which to question in the first place.) However, should a sole agent have restrictions on the disposal of any imported goods that would influence the price paid for those goods on importation, this would be a very different matter. So, if hypothetically, a component manufacturer uses a sole distribution agent, and places restrictions on how the goods may be sold by that agent and that has an influence on the price, then that agent would not only have a Comp Comm issue, but an impending customs valuation issue too. Insofar as the comments regarding the classification of goods is concerned. The onus to correctly classify goods on importation is the importer, and not the supplier. So yes, if you instruct a clearing agent to clear goods under a certain heading and thereby avoid duties, you are committing an offence. If your clearing agent clears the goods and you benefit, you are still st risk, however you could potentially dispute the penalties against the clearing agent. Long story. As for the postal clearances, customs officials actually make what is called a site clearance of the goods, which means that they take documentation from the packages and clear it, and may choose to inspect the goods to verify the classification if they think it's necessary. So therefore, if you say that postal clearances are incorrectly declared, you are actually saying that the customs officers are not doing their jobs. (I will leave that conclusion to you.) All I am saying, that importers in glass houses should maybe not throw stones...
