  1. What is their pricing like? I see they do farm butter etc too.
  2. Yip, I get the exact same symptoms when I eat bread. Feels like you just starting a cold or something and a few hours later its gone - well in my case anyway. It normally takes about 3-4 hours for me to feel better again and some exercise can speed up that process. Maybe the endorphin's override the bad feeling.
  3. At least all of the respective experts agree on one thing. Coconut oil and butter are very good for you and should make sure you eat enough of them! I personally have been experimenting further with my diet over the past few months and found that I do well eating 2-4 fruits a day. If I eat things like flour or other processed food my HR increases for the next few hours to about 100bpm when it normally sits at around 60 during the day. I also feel terrible and it takes about 2 hours for my body to get back to normal. Interestingly I can eat sugary things like a few pieces of chocolate without feeling too bad, although fruit is definitely the best form of sugar and I get no ill effects from eating it. Also nutritious starchy veggies like butternut, gem squash, pumpkin, sweet potato seem to be fine although so far I have only been eating them every few weeks. I do not have any trouble digesting dairy as far as I can tell so I enjoy plenty of cream and greek yogurt but make sure only to buy quality. If anything I can at least taste the difference. Initially my weight dropped 5kg's when starting lchf but I have almost returned to my original weight and continue to gain. It seems to be only muscle that doesn't add any bulk as people are commenting that I need to eat something because I look too thin! I did die burger 60km last week sat after only having 1 ride over the past 2 months. Also had quite a "rough" night on the town but the next day I woke up and was perfectly fine. No sore legs or head so I think this could also assist with both forms of recovery Along those lines, have any of you found that you feel tipsy a lot quicker but the alcohol wears off a lot faster? I don't normally drink more than 1 or 2 beers/glasses of wine occasionally but when I do I can feel it after a few sips. On sat I drank substantially more than that but didn't feel like I got any more drunk as the night went on.
  4. Thanks to the guy that stopped and gave my friend and I some patches. 4 punctures later and I think he's learnt his lesson that he should go tubeless!
  5. What details do you need to provide when you claim? Do they require a proof of ownership or do they just pay out? I have also had trouble getting them to specify my bikes correctly (correctly spelled names) - They don't even want serial numbers or anything? I'm just a bit worried that if I do have to claim at any stage they will ask for something I don't have as I purchased both my bikes off the hub and have no receipt.
  6. Can't someone track down the number and pay them a visit with the police?
  7. The article states that the Zipp 808's even act as a sail and propel you forward. Obviously they are ridiculously expensive. In my opinion its not worth getting cheap deep sections, rather get a good set of aluminium wheels which have a better braking surface, low drag and are lightweight (although you might be able to get better aero with a heavier wider rim). Aero spokes are also there just for looks, and the easton ea90's had a pretty low drag. Cheapies will probably save you only 3w from that and zipps could save you 20... Put some conti gp4000s tyres on and that will save you 15 to 20w over gatorskins and other tyres at a minor cost. They have the same rolling resistance as tubular tyres at a lower tyre pressure, making tubulars a waste of time and money.
  8. Check out the tour magazine on the difference wheels if you haven't already. http://www.tour-qtr.com/epaper_4_2011 As far as I can tell there's not much difference between a good set of standard rims and the cheaper deep sections with regard to aerodynamics...

The car guards must have been involved. Of course they saw nothing when the police were questioning them! What a useless bunch of idiots. I'm sure its only a few of them that ruin it for the others as always...

My dads White Toyota Venture was stolen while he was riding! The number plate is BDG756GP if by some chance anyone were to spot it! Thanks!
  11. Crown cycles have a Cr1 with 105 and aksium wheels for about R15000. I'm really tempted to get this unless people have any other ideas?

  13. I've been attempting to eat lower carb for about 3 weeks now. It's not super low carb, but at least it's a major reduction of what I was used to. I also experienced a week of light headedness and tiredness but now feel fine. I have had the odd day where I could not keep to the diet but otherwise my typical day's food looks like this. Breakfast: 20g tiger oats mixed with 70g future life and milk. (can't easily make scrambled egg's and bacon every morning!) Snack: 30-40g Mixed nuts Lunch: Double Cream Greek yogurt, 2 eggs, apple, kiwi fruit Snack: Cheese with marmite. If I cycle a whey protein shake too. Dinner: Some form of meat/fish with salad doused in 2 tablespoons of olive oil and half a circle of feta. Dessert: 4 blocks of dark chocolate So far my weight has remained constant but I am looking visibly leaner. My training has increased due to the DC being in 3 weeks and I've felt good on the shorter rides up to 2 hours. I drink water, but after 3-4 hours I do need to eat something and will probably race using 32gi. While I haven't taken to the low carb thing fully, it has made me more aware of what I eat and I look for the foods with the highest fat and lowest carbs. It just prevents me from overloading on carbs which I used to do and I think combined with cutting out wheat has made the biggest difference.

What price can one expect to pay for a foil 20?
  15. What would work well is a pepper grenade like you used but with a remote detonation device that allows the hijacker to start riding away. Push a button and boom! The hijacker crashes, is disabled and whatever you decide to do next!
