What a cool way to ruin the environment, stick a battery and motor on a device that you could actually pedal.
  2. Personally I don't see the point. Scammers are smarter than you think, and its up to buyers to take responsibility for being scammed and not the hub to provide a prevention for buyers stupidity.
  3. My two year old as well. She loves taking stuff and hangs them from components on my bike. Forever finding alen keys stuck under my cables or shoved in my front derailleur.
  4. Keeping those for my special build. You can buy 8 speed cassettes at CRC, campy still makes them.
  5. Bet he's sorry he ever accepted the position he's in. He took BMX racing from nothing to such great heights, now he just looks like a wally.
  6. Flippen nice. Love the first generation carbon crank, although I heard they were prone to breaking. Willie had a set in his shop before he went under. Here's another Mapei nago to drool over:
  7. Thats true. MTBers are a sensitive bunch, always crying about not being greeted and how nasty those roadies are.
  8. Legend has it that this is all Guttergoat needs to beat the subvets in the Western Cape.
  9. Used to work there. For showers you can join the Gym or the sports club. There are bike racks in the fenced off area adjacent to the station, its pretty safe there I think. I thought about commuting but I would have to take my chances on vanguard during peak hour, wasn't too keen on that but maybe I'm just a woes. Oh, and enjoy OM, not to everyone's taste that place. Where will you be working?
  10. Not sure how much, but these guys are the agents: http://www.gymnetics.co.za/products/lemond.html Apparently Robbie Hunter is also an agent, but not sure if he has website for it.
  11. Yebo, need em for the super record pedals.
  12. Me, me, me!
  13. I reckon disk breaks will be commonplace on road bikes in future. It especially makes sense on bikes using carbon rims that suffer from overheating problems on long descents.
  14. Looks awesome.
  15. I'll swap you that for you know what Wayne.
  16. Stephen Roche won the 87 TDF, Giro and World champs on a Battaglin. Would love one like he rode. I would say a Campy Mirage equipped bike like this would be worth about R3500.
  17. Awesome, do you still have them?
  18. Um, did you really need to take your bike to a bike shop to adjust the chain tension?
  19. The only pic i could find on the internet is here: http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=219735 I think it was an SA only bike.
  20. Western Flyer Mean Machine. It was yellow, full suspension, with a plastic petrol tank, mudguards and number plate. Got it for my 7th birthday in 1979 and I've been hooked on bikes ever since.
  21. Put yourself in the 4x4 driver’s shoes. He went and spent all that money on a flashy 4 times 4, yet his wife still isn't satisfied with his puny manhood. So inevitably he takes it out on "soft targets" because he is only able to feel like a real man when there is two tons of steel between him and some skinny cyclist on his bike.
  22. Is that your generation Big H?
  23. Cipo and Merckx have both been in SA before. How about Bettini.
  24. Pah, I give up. You're all a bunch of tools.
  25. Ja, but what I bought from Wiggle you wont find anywhere in SA, I guarantee you that.
