  1. Yip, and if you want a frame made by someone who's surname ends in De Rosa then get a Titanio. Each one is hand made by Danilo De Rosa, Ugo De Rosa's eldest son.
  2. This is the company that make the frame for De Rosa. Ignore the ISP, can be ordered from them with or without. http://www.xpa-cycling.com/products_data.php?htm=18.html&key=2 You can also buy the frame direct off eBay for $508. http://cgi.ebay.com/full-Carbon-matt-black-Road-bike-Frame-Fork-545mm-BB30-/150570134518?pt=Road_Bikes&hash=item230eadebf6
  3. Its a nice looking bike especially with that nice big De Rosa branding on the frame. Unfortunately you're paying a huge premium for that branding. The 838 is exactly the same frame that Ribble were using for their own branded frame called the Stealth. Ribble were selling that frame for less than 500 GBP, so you could easilly build up an identical bike to the De Rosa for about 10K less. So, if you want to pay R10000 for a nice big De Rosa sticker on a Taiwanese bike I suppose its not a bad deal.
  4. Earbuds? Thanks for the tip.
  5. Quick, run while you still have a chance and some cash in the wallet.
  6. This sounds really exciting. Good luck with your venture and look forward to the first jamboree.
  7. I've got a Shimano 600 RD and an old Dura Ace FD. They are 8 speed generation but work perfectly with 6/7 speed as well. How about some photos of the stuff you have?
  8. How much do you want for it (cassette)?
  9. Wow, very very nice Monkeyboy. The only thing I would change on there is the stem, but that frame is fantastic.
  10. Reading on other forums, with soda blasting you also have to make sure you thoroughly clean your frame before spraying, or the paint won't properly adhere to the surface.
  11. I don't see why CWC should be above criticism just because most people think they are awesome. If they screwed up they screwed up, it does happen. I do know that they care about their reputation and will take action to set things straight. In fact, they are experts at turning bad criticism like this to their advantage, by publicly making up for their mistakes and making people think they are even more awesome than before
  12. Thats rich coming from The Hubs very own super whiner.
  13. Jeez, that really sucks. Snip, you are a scumbag, even if you are a girl.
  14. My intuition and a bit of digging tells me it is a scam. I did a whois on the domain and found it registered to "DIRECTI INTERNET SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. D/B/A". A search on that name revealed a few other domains that have been linked to known scams.. Mmmm, further digging is required. Directi has a couple of millions of domains in its registry, so that doesn't mean they are all scammers. The fact that the owner has privacy set on his domain tells me has something to hide though. Normally a valid business wouldn't try and hide their contact details.
  15. As far as I know Cav caused the crash, which is why they were all pissed with him. Wasn't the wheels fault.
  16. Where did you get that bar from, I really like it?
  17. I'm still not convinced. I've become so cynical that I wouldn't be surprised if Tondo bust the doping ring to divert attention away from his own suppliers.
  18. Thought that too, until I saw those steel track frames for sale on here that look just like hydroformed aluminium. (https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/96546-new-track-single-speed-frames-for-sale/)
  19. Very nice, i'm jealous. Can you only cut single guage spokes to length? With double butted isn't it an issue to trim the thicker butted section or does it not really matter?
  20. "Try not get caught next time dumb ass, you going to blow it for the rest of us!"
  21. Interesting that, Its easier for ASG to sell 100K Chinarellos' than it is to sell unbranded bikes at give away prices.
  22. Its got DT shifters, so retro it is. Like that Mavic kit. Wouldn't mind the previous generation Mavic crank to go with the derailleur set I've got.
  23. For the record, Joey100 is a good guy and doesn't deserve to be labelled bad. You still have your money and you didn't actually waste a trip to go fetch the saddle.
  24. I ride with a camelbak on the road. Means I can put my tools in one of those water bottle holders on the bike and I don't have to worry about running out of water. I'm a fat bastard on a steel bike so weight really isn't a concern to me.
  25. So how about some pics Delgado, this is your thread after all. :-)
