I was driving on Atlas Rd in Benoni when I Passed a guy on a specialized bike he was wearing long pants thay did not fit so lekker(It was probably about 34 degrees), spinning at a cadence of about 2000, obviously not been cycling for long. I passed about a metre and a half away from him keeping in mind that this road already has a yellow line area of two metres wide, the ass then proceeded in throwing me the middle finger. I proceeded to the next robot were I politely asked him what his problem was, he politely told me to eff off. I told him that he was setting a bad example for all cyclists I even had my bike on the back off the car at that time. He proceeded to follow me into the complex were I stay hurling abuse ,I once again stopped gave him my addres in the complex and asked him to meet me there so we could sort this out in a civilized manner. The as@#%$ then suddenly found it impossible to get through the 1.5 metre gap at the booms of the estate. Im really tired of guys dragging all cyclists name through through the mud and I think they should be taken to task and not just left to carry on the way they do.

If only one person gets hurt because of what this ass@#$%$ wrote, then he s gone to far, we only need one "frikkie" to take him seriously then we are all in danger.

I Share your point Windbreaker , but please , he is underestimating our intelligence. You dont write a article like that without thinking first. He should know how everybody feels even if its negative wel mostly negative feedback. Its time that people take responsibilty for their actions. As for the article being taken too seriously, thats a load of cr@p. The damage has already been done.

Cant agree with you more, there comes a stage when you do to much and enjoy too little. Stop pedalling though -NEVER!!! Will have a chat to you guys and gals tomorrow going to watch the cricket.

I think balancing your lifestyle is the correct choice of words, you can still improve but include the other important things in life(your dog/cat ,wife not neccesarily in that order) go away with your loved one for the weekend and leave the bike at home, tune her parts for a change, it might make the buying of new parts easier for mistress "Bianchi". By the way moving up the ranks is the easy part.

I Have been cycling now for 6 years and got gatvol of the weekend racing, as you all now cycling becomes a lifestyle, but not neccesarily a good one, I have started cycling for the fun again and feel like a brandnew person I enjoy climbing on my bike for the sake of enjoying the ride and not to prove a point. My goal for 2007=ENJOYMENT!!!!!
