  1. Oh boy, what would SRAM be, a Hummer (mtb) and a Ford GT? Willehond2010-02-25 02:54:18
  2. Now who's showing off?! Take your crappy campy and bugger off to your espresso bar
  3. Do some searches. This has been discussed to death!!! Basically, they are both good and it comes down to personal preference. I have Force because I wanted something different to the Shimano I have on my other bikes. Both of these do the job. Just pick one you like!
  4. LOL. I thought this was a hunt for the guy who dropped his pants and his "Barone" near the start line!!!
  5. When I entered a race recently, this little sign was on the entry page. They did not quite consider that people could drop a barone too...
  6. not too mention coming ahead of angela "real person" day's visit. and don't have a lunch bar for afters? Lunch bar. Bad image. You are a sick puppy... My croutons are soggy...
  7. This was not a good thread to read whilst eating my chicken-noodle soup...
  8. Great topic pirate! I also like Latrinus' reply of "Do it, but don't make it too obvious..."
  9. The whole idea behind the weight limit is to keep racing safe an affordable for most cyclists. What this 8,000Euro bike prooves is that the UCI got it 100% right! It's ok for a guy like Thor to ride a frame like this and get a new one for every race, but for us mortals the cost of replacing such a frame every couple of months is just unrealistic. With so many great sub-1kg frames being produced in the East, paying this much for a frame is just nuts.
  10. Shouldn't they rather spend the money on designer wheels? I mean, we all know rotating weight is much more important than the frame weight? ...where my coat?
  11. Holy, I suggest a power balance band! With you I would suggest one for each arm!!! ...oh, and take a brush, grin and bear it and scrub it out under the shower (the stones I mean).
  12. So Switzerland has more planespotters than South Africa! Wow, personally I see that as a GOOD thing for SA... It might be great for airlines to have a huge plane that can pack them in in bigger numbers, but personally I don't see the advantage for the passengers. Will it translate to cheaper tickets, more legroom and more regular flights? I doubt it. For the bigger airports I can understand that they might ease congestion, but the noise must be worse. OK, enough bitching. I'll leave you planespotters alone in your little heaven...
  13. Wow, I know cyclists are nerds, but this thread takes the cake! Imagine, plane spotting... No, I don't care what plane I'm in and bigger isn't always better. So now you can queue even longer to get into/out of the plan and toilets? Sorry, but I don't see the benefit TO THE PASSENGERS. All I care about is having a big seat and lots of choice on the seat-back tv. Plus not having the Concorde is cool too. Man, that thing used to wake my kids up when it landed. Bloody nuisance
  14. I've had an 11-25, currently have a SRAM 11-26 on my trainnig wheels and have just got an 11-27 for some serious climbs in the Ardennes. You even get an 11-28!
  15. Seriously, an 11-25 will just be fine. You're not going to notice the difference, except when you hit the hills. Small, small difference really
  16. Don't you complain, you have nothing to moan about! At least you can go out if you want to. (PS What the heck are you doing back on a bike?! Shouldn't you be 'soft' a bit longer?)
  17. Not sure what part of "worst conditions" actually applies to his SA training unless of course you mean dodging taxi's and muggers??Willehond2010-02-10 06:00:55
  18. I think Andy Hampsten would have eaten those sissies for breakfast!!!
  19. Just took a pic of the site bikes. Hope nobody asks me to go for a meeting on the other side...
  20. No. The snow has depleted my punny side...
  21. The snow is no longer fun. This morning it was slipping and sliding all over the place and traffic was a complete disaster... Anyway, the wife's bike is not a problem. Getting the kids to park theirs inside the garage IS! One of these days someone is going to steal it. Probably when it's warmer though!
