  1. I've gone through two of these things. Mine did exactly the same. Hate them! ...but seeing that you are looking for advice. The first time it was the wiring, but I don't think that is your problem. probably related to the little pins on the back of the watch making contact. Check if they are clean and making contact. Other than that I found it helped to stop and restart the watch and it would suddenly pick it up again. Could of course also be your batteries that are flat or the very flimsy wires that broke (very easy to di without you knowing). Anyway, good luck. I solved the problem by getting a PowerTap. I enjoy my rides now...
  2. Jeez dood I deserved that one hey... Wondered if you'd spot it! Though conscious spelling offenses committed to enable an online sale is probably excusable. Don't overdo it though, it might just creap into your real work. (Bugger, this spelling disease is contagious!) Willehond2009-06-08 05:54:24
  3. Uhm, ask Serge Pauwels about race radios at the Giro. I bet you he wished they didn't have them!!!
  4. not...........going............to..........bite. Lips are bleeding... If I see that f%*&%ing pic again....you mean this one...... aaaaaaaaaaaah' date=' you just made willydog bleed... [/quote'] Bleed from every orifice. This pains me. Deeply... Why don't you just kill me off with the big 'car-crashes-into-peloton' pic! I really should avoid all picture threads.

  6. Yes, they have an amateur champ and it's by no means easy. There is a lot of prize money at stake and it just allows the guys with 'real' jobs to race at a high level. We get guys from Germany and Belgium who come to steal the money! Elites over here are the guys who want to make it and ride for continental level teams (not pro-continental!) or for big sponsored clubs with full race support. Amateurs also have comms and support, but no Elites are allowed. If you think it's soft, at the last 2-day tour we started with a bang. The first hour we did 45kms! I think it is a real option for SA
  7. Why even bother with putting guys between 30 and 40 in Vets at all? I like the way they do racing over here in Europe. The Vets are over 40 and then the under-40's can either race Elites (if they are super-fit) or they can race Amateurs when they get closer to 40. It keeps the oldies fit and the youngsters on their toes!!!
  8. I thought this thread was about Taylor Phinney. Firstly he goes and wins the genetic lottery (both his parents are US Olympians). Then this weekend he goes and becomes the first American tro win the Junior Paris-Roubaix (for under-23's) against the best Europe can throw at him and he is a trackie. The scary thing is he is 18. Yes, digest that: 18!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Just rebuild it yourself! It's fun...
  10. What happens on Warthogs, stays on Warthogs... ...and the month still has 11 days! Oh well, gives him even more time to train
  11. Where is the "all of the above" option? I would love my vote to count too!
  12. Economic crises? What economic crises? ...also nice to see all the competition getting it here quickly
  13. Same here with the ego , but my 39*23 hurts a bit on this Gallic country roads that go straight over the "bumps" and thinking about alternatives that dont include less Guiness Ooops, I meant 53/39, not 53/46! I used to have a 39-25 as my best spinning option, but adding just one extra tooth for a 39-26 makes a big difference. Chuck on a 27 and you don't need a compact! Seeing that you're older than me you could always go for a tripple
  14. Thanks! It weighs 6,8kgs on my inacurate scales. ...oK, ok, I admit if you throw on pedals and cages it's 7,1!
  15. What, you forgot about the Brandon Stewart/Kevin Evans switching saga? Handbags at dawn....
  16. World Champion actually... Remember' date=' before he became one nut, he actually won some single day races [/quote'] Bliksem, is there an echo in this place???
  17. you do not get "bands" for world cup wins. Those are his world champ lines from 30 years ago. Sorry meant World Champ (you pedantic freaks!!!). I mentioned them because they were absent previously on his Astana kit.
  18. I see there are some small world cup bands on Lance's jersey. Very small
  19. Fist fighting? Does nobody use their shoes these days???
  20. So it wasnt her behind the door(s) with bikini that glow in the aquarium lights? I thought I told you not to smoke that sht!? You got conned boet!
