  1. Christie, I will definitely weight it and let you know. I decided on Force in the end, but nobody has stock today. Bummer. Will have to take it to the LBS tonight and pick it up on the weekend (if the shop has time to build it...) Delayed gratification sucks!
  2. Thanks zeroplay, I've had good feedback from some guys, but it's nice to get the other side too. Anyone elso got expecrience with SRAM Force?
  3. OK, I promise, last pic (for today!) This one does it justice I think.
  4. They have some stunning mtb's. Check it out on their website http://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/ I like this one: http://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/series/grand-canyon-cf.html They even sent me a torque wrench with the bike! Plus the BB and seatpost was pre-greased.Willehond2009-04-21 14:36:46
  5. Bliksem, that's great! I bet it costs a couple of multiples of what mine does though (especially with Record on)!!! Spaz is nice, but I went for the brand the OTHER Belgian team rides with.
  6. Hoping for something around 7kg's (just a bit over). Might be a bit optimistic with a 58cm frame and clinchers! Willehond2009-04-21 14:13:55
  7. SRAM Force is my choice at the moment. More affordable than Red, compatible with my Shimano wheels and even more carbon!
  8. Close, but it's actually this one (plus I got 350 Euro discount because I'm a licenced rider ) http://www.canyon.com/_en/roadbikes/bike.html?b=879&WYSESSID=kvRzMdo9M2ld85W6lVvEKe6TBf
  9. Good question. Not sure yet. I'm going to the candyshop tomorrow to buy some seet stuff. What do you think, Campy, SRAM, Shimano???
  10. I have a bottle of Kanonkop waiting around the corner! Might just do it...Willehond2009-04-21 14:10:41
  11. The photo doesn't do it justice yet and it needs lots of extra bling, but I like! Will take some outside when it's got all the bits on. Slowbee, what about the wall?
  12. Toffie vir jou!
  13. The headset freaks me out though. It's got a hole in it! The bloody thing is going to fill up when it rains Willehond2009-04-22 05:57:13
  14. Massive headset on it, but light as a feather! I know white is the new naked carbon, but I prefered this to the white.
  15. Yes, FINALLY! After all the waiting it was delivered today and my wife thought thhe box was empty because it was so light! I still have to get a groupset and fit it, but it already makes me very, very happy! Will update it as it progresses. Here is a sneak peak: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EDIT: PHOTOS FROM PAGE 6. UPDATE - 26 April not complete without a gratuotous windmill shot: Canalside shot The hole shot! For the mountainbikers (leaning against a MTB sign!) One for the ramblers: Willehond2009-05-01 13:15:34
  16. Mine is fine in the wet, but it is quite new. BTW what are these 'wires' you are talking about!?
  17. Daniel, Bruce is one of THE experts in SAon powertraining. Couldn't talk to a better guy if you are in the North. This is what a power curve looks like (this year vs. last year). It takes all you efforts into account, not just one! PS, my current 20 minute point is WAY under last year's. Damn.
  18. Well, it's actually the Rabobank Continental team, not the Protour team, but I guess details are not important at this time...
  19. I miss Peter... "Cycling is a hard sport, both mentally and physically, it is also a sport full of self appointed experts with lots of opinions that they will glasly pass to anybody who will listen - this is a dangerous combination for the rider committed to getting the best out of the time he or she has."
  20. Belgian commentators are worried about the "Zwarte manne"
  21. They are a bit isolated. Cervelo looking strong in numbers!
  22. Slipstream's chance has just gone. Looks like Maaskant won't get a repeat of last year's heroics after his fall.
  23. No Phil Ligget for me. I get to listen to it in Flemish with commentators who know their cycling!!! They are getting all excited about Booonen and Devolder and Cancellara. Let's see if they become the big contenders It's dry and dusty, so I think one of the big boys will win. Not one for the sprinters I think. Devolder again? Hausler?
