  2. Had a similar problem. Also was told same BS at bike shop. Managed to solve the problem on my own. The procedure mentioned above may not work because one side of the brake pads is touching the disc. It may not be able to centre the pads. Just check which side it is touching. You may need to add or remove a washer to allow the brake to centre. Worked for me.
  3. Just bought two Serfas level 2 cycling computers from Wesdene Cycles in JHBfor R150 each. 9 Function. They do speed and cadence as well. Used it on my mountain bike and have put a second one on my road bike. Very reliable.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I do ride shimano. Will look at the options.
  5. Hi fellow Hubbers. Im looking to change my 11-23 cassette to a 11-25 or possibly even a 11-27 cassette(Dont know if you get a 11-27). This will give me the gears for riding at speed whilst also the gears to climb. What are my options? Do i need to buy a complete cassette or can I just get the necessary cogs that i need and mix and match to the gearing I need. Thanks
  6. Get a unicycle.
  7. Im brand new to cycling and decided to take out a subscription. (Fortunately only cost R100 for 12 issues through Discovery). Ive only received the 3rd issue and am already finding the magazine repetitive and full of adverts with not much content. Was hoping that maybe its just the DEC issue that is a bit "Light" but it seems that i dont have much to look forward to for the remaining 9 issues.
