  1. My suggestion would be to buy a full suss 2nd hand alloy bike . R16k for a new bike is going to get you a hard tail with *** components. Better to buy a 2016/2017 decent full suspension bike.

With Evenpoel having a 2:40 lead after stage 13, that post didn't age well.
  3. Haha, sorry guys. I'm out of town, 1500km from the bike that needs photos. But u are all legends with your insights. Most of which exceed my tech skills. Anyway there will be photos when I'm back.
  4. Will send pics tomorrow. Chain seems fine. LBS checked that. But if chain was a problem, would I only drop it on the largest sprocket?
  5. Yes biggest sprocket. Will send pics tomorrow.
  6. Not sure TBH as LBS popped an excellent condition 2nd hand one on just to elimate that as the problem. Chain hasn't stretched, limits and n-screw seem fine. And it's not a new chain. I find it strange that it only ever drops when shifting out of climbing gear.
  7. I'm running 1 x 11 on a 2017 Spez Stumpie. Sent bike to LBS reporting that I keep dropping the chain (off the front blade) but only when changing out of climbing gear. Bike shop said group set all good except front blade. Replace with a relatively new second hand one. Problem persists. What to do? Replace entire groupset with new? Derailer, chain and cassette all look fine.
  8. Thanks for that, it makes sense (regarding foot pumps and road bikes). I guess the 'actual' accuracy is not as important as the relative number. If you ride well at a certain reading, whether it's accurate or not, just use that same reading.
  9. I use a digital gadget, sorry can't recall the brand. My pump (which I assume is less accurate) reflects pressures about 40% lower than the gauge. So I think I was seriously overinflating before buying the gauge.
  10. My floor pump under reads horribly , so I also use a proper gadget. 1.4 upfront 1.6 on the back works for me
  11. I weigh 84kg and run 1.4 front and 1.6 back. No issues.
  12. Ja, I assume the Spez site is correct, the pressure I was running was clearly waaaay too high, could lose a set of gonads.
  13. I have had some issues with my Specialized Command dropper. Google search suggests a dropper should be pumped to 200-250 psi. Specialized website says this post should be pumped to 30 psi. Why the massive difference?
