  1. Not exactly up to date with Geo compared to other brands
  2. will be interesting to see what k's i eventually get without changing anything
  3. im currently on 5748km same chain same cassette - Sram GX Only use Squirt lube always applied the night before so it dries properly. wash and dry off chain with just normal car wash liquid after rides. Will clean in paraffin if the ride was muddy or very dusty.
  4. i also have a stumpy and Run Ardent race front and back and they perform really well. Next time though i might try rekon front & rekon race rear
  5. exactly why i am on the fence to buy one....in my experience when a saddle is to soft or flexy you pay the price after a few hours riding...just my 2c worth
  6. i was going to buy one but twisted it in the shop and it seems very flexy / bendable ...makes me worry about long rides

    29er Slicks

anyone used the Maxis Rambler ??
  10. well no wonder only Odison commented on the Rekon ....according to Rush they don't bring in the 2.4WT ...so i might have to ask my folks to grab me one whilst they are in OZ
  11. 2.2IKON is what i ride on the tar or cane gravel roads....not on trails
  12. hhmmm but Ardent is old Tech without 3CMaxxTerra or WT option
  13. currently i have a set of ardent race 2.35's on which are great for their purpose of cane road and easy trails. i also have a DHRII in 2.4wt which i use up front when im going somewhere i know more grip is required but cant leave it on all time as rolling is a bit tough on flat stuff also its a pain having to swop tyres. So im looking at trying to get a better allround tyre for the front, was looking at either Forekaster in 2.35 or Rekon in 2.4wt ..anyone have any input on those 2 ...( only looking a Maxxis tyres )
  14. @ the_bob ..sounds better everytime you ride it...making me jelaaaaas is changing to the DT Swiss 54t just a matter of dropping the ratchet in the original Giant wheels ...or did you upgrade ??
  15. personally i prefer the look of the giant compared to the radon...Also giant is a little better specked ..12speed ..carbon rims etc....but just my personal opinion
  16. im leaning towards one myself ( had one in 2014 ..27.5 ) then went for a Spaz stumpy 29er ..and now getting that itch again look forward to your long ride report
  17. just asking what weight is your bike ??
  18. Rapide you get get a brand new set for that price.
  19. Have to say i had a great experience @ CL cornubia on weekend...my son got a bargain helmet @ R200 off on Sale & i bought a light and got R100 bucks off on mystery discount code...Boom both winners... good luck going forward CWC & CL
  20. thats why i kept my old wheelset complete.. so i can swop out if need be ..depending on terrain / race
  21. that is exactly what i was running tyre wise but my rear rim was a tad skinnier.... now running RaceFace 30mm rims and threw the AR on the rear and the new DHR on front...woohooo way better traction and confidence in corners...it doesnt roll quite as well but thats a sacrifice ill take anyday...
  22. aah OK ...good to know. well it works damm well as a front i reckon
  23. so are you meaning as a rear tyre for accelerating traction ...not trying to be funny just trying to understand what you are saying
  24. i can't compare as i haven't ridden both...but that statement confuses me a bit ...DHF rolls faster but DHR accelerates faster .....surely the faster rolling tyre should also accelerate faster..
