personally i prefer the look of the giant compared to the radon...Also giant is a little better specked ..12speed ..carbon rims etc....but just my personal opinion

im leaning towards one myself ( had one in 2014 ..27.5 ) then went for a Spaz stumpy 29er ..and now getting that itch again look forward to your long ride report

i think the PO strike definately fouled things up ...ordered 5 items from Ali in May ..got 1 quite quickly the others they refunded me 2.5weeks ago ..then got another last week & received POslips today & went to see only to be told they had been returned already.

so i down load the manual and they show a great pic of Frame linkage assembly and list as follows A. main pivot B. Main link pivot C. Horst link or Seatstay pivot D. lower shock mount E. Lower shock eye or yoke pivot F. Upper shock eye but on the actual Torque specs they dont list A..F they list these 3 i get Main Upper shock Lowershock These 3 confuse me S-link @ frame S-link @ seatstay S-link @ yoke anyone able to tell me which is which ?? PLZ

the bigger question is what type of riding are you going to do as the Merida is more a Xcountry bike with steeper head angle and the scott more Trail bike with slacker head angle

i personally feel it will be a tough decision when i want to buy a new bike next time as there are so many new models in the Trail section that can do it all.

well i would nt call 2.3 tyres exactly skinny, but i hear you on other things ( i ride a Stumpy ) so ja i know what your getting at and would probably lean towards the ST.

actually i disagree the EVO is not that different to the ST. certainly much closer than the normal EPIC. six of one & half doz of the other, i would certainly like to ride both and see just what diffs it makes before i would say its worlds apart.

would be nice to read a test between the Stumpy ST & Epic EVO

I know Tiffany Keep rides one and she is always on the Podium, so would assume it's a good bike for racing

thats why i kept my old wheelset complete.. so i can swop out if need be ..depending on terrain / race

that is exactly what i was running tyre wise but my rear rim was a tad skinnier.... now running RaceFace 30mm rims and threw the AR on the rear and the new DHR on front...woohooo way better traction and confidence in corners...it doesnt roll quite as well but thats a sacrifice ill take anyday...
