  1. Would be interested in the answer as I am contemplating either going Full FNB or Discovery bank when my Discovery credit card expires in month or two. On the Discovery sight I do not see that it was removed.
  2. Well I support them as Although not all people like Doug , I can remember when he won 4 day Tour in Western Cape(Can not remember the name) There was controversy on the last day as one of the Europeans was pushed just before the line to pip Doug which gained him bonus seconds and took the Yellow from Doug, But was later disqualified. Have always been a fan of RJVR so when they started the journey I went with it. As for other sportsteams I will be a loyal fan , through their evolution. Was never a a fan of the German' s that was brought in after 2013 but stuck with the team. I am hoping for a few big results. Sceptical if it will come from the Japanese champion but lets see. Same way I will support Willie Smit no matter which teams he ride on. He must just get across to europe and get his "PERS KERS' kit now.
  3. I have been thinking of moving to FNB, I actually have an FNB and Discovery but use the FNB for debit orders only. Can you perhaps post link of how there rewards for ebucks works. As I am considering to move everything onto FNB or get the new card fron Discovery Bank when my current card expires. Getting could reward through Discovery Miles , but not sure if I will be able to stay on Diamond with the new changes which makes FNB more attractive.
  4. Jip, For that I go To Virgin Active Free for Life. Also get money back from Woolworths, Sportmans and Dischem , which more than covers the R300. Then there is some of these rewards things that is maybe not that much , but the first few makes it worthwhile.
  5. Maybe they will not achieve what they set out , and Amanuel will probably be able to get a better result than LM in the Tour , but at least they had the guts to put it out there. I think we must guard not to feel happy when others fail, as these days this is what a lot of media do. The Australian ITT was won by Durbridge yesterday, What did the headlines say? " Dennis beaten to second place" , o mention of the Winners name. In me NTT has a lifelong supporter, In RIIS they have a guy with a lot of World tour experience on and off the bike, so I am hoping that they improve on last years results. Unfortunately we do not have that many African riders that can make it , J JVR indicated last year he was tired of getting his head kicked in , so maybe although TDD got Saffa in the Tou it was maybe a bit too much for some of them. Me I will be hoping that if Impey do not do the Treble in the Tour Down under , that Gibbons will be the one to do it. Watch out for Amanuel G though in the next year or so to creep closer to that podium step.
  6. The latest new rider to the team , was not picked by the Computer software I think. Shotaro Iribe maybe a goodwill gesture or requirement from NTT, but with a Japanese champion I assume the team will be racing a bit more in Asia next year. As long as the team performs , It is better than Cav.
  7. My Thoughts as well , but I guess the Comms did not realise until they were across the line.
  8. Thanks, Looking at that I might just take them up on the offer. Especially with the Woollies. I saw in a mail today you will now get Miles via the Vitality health as well , which is probable the reason that the make it worth less.
  9. AL , but I think I will start with BL. Have not raced this year and do not think I am up for fast pace racing at the start.
  10. Where can one actually see how the rewards work. I am thinking of leaving Discovery Card next year if I can not see how this works to compare against others. When I was asked to join I was only told I will see the rewards on the app once I activated Discovery banking, but I want to see up front before I switch. Currently getting between 600 to 1000 Rands worth of Discovery miles which I was informed will be falling away with discovery bank so I would like to know how the new rewards work.
  11. I am quite sure cycling behind a motorised vehicle is not counting towards road points.
  12. Agree, but it looks like there is an improvement. Heard some issues regarding him earlier this year which I will not place hear but the results indicate that he is hopefully past that. The team needs a Good climber GC guy. They now have LM Ben O'Connor , Amanuel , and Ben King, so they need to step up from the not to far behind the leaders to amongst the leaders , of which Amanuel looked the most promising.
  13. Jacques jvRensburg seem to be having a good race as last race as professional currently lying in 25th on GC I also see Victor Campeneart looking like an even better signing as he is lying above Louis Meintjies after the Queen stage . Hope he carries that form into next year along with M Walscheid , then results should be better than this year. With RJVR doing some good lead outs for him he can get better results than this year I think.(Hope)
  14. Bahrain Merida announced 6 new riders today. One of them is currently riding for TDD. His name is not Mark but Scott. Saw TJ Slagter of to Vital concept as well. I hope Amaneul, Ben Oconnor and LM show some climbing form next year.
  15. Saw yesterday that Eddy BoasenHagen is indicated as Team NTT for 2020, although I have not heard anything from the team. Still waiting for confirmation on Willie and TJ Slagter .
  16. Me personally have been a Cav fan for many years, he was my sons hero. But I just thought he should have realised that he is not at peak and not tell the world that you are on form when you have not reached the finish line with the bunch for three months. But he will always remain one of the best if not the best sprinter in the modern era.
  17. These guys were definetily not signed for WT points. I hope they know there system as these guys will be stepping up to a higher level and did not set the races alight where they did race, other than Reinhardt who in 2012(maybe a different year) won something like 23 events for them which gave them the step up to the PCT and World Tour, but I like to try and stay positive. A few one day race between now and the end of the year where hopefully there is a victory or two for Nizollo & Valgren maybe. RJVR may also just be up there.
  18. Unfortunate to miss it this year. Hope it will be there again next year.
  19. Results have improved of late although no big wins. Valgren seems to be hitting good form with two top 10's the weekens and Eddy's 5th place in Vuelta's last stage. A bit unlucky that they lost Amanuel in the last week. I think he will be the next African GC contender, his positioning is better than LM who seem to be taking Steves place. He could do so much better as I saw him having to sprint around riders getting dropped, I think They will end up above CCC by the end of the year as well, I wish Willie get a ride on their team as well as I know Doug respects him.
  20. He might have seen your comment , event moved back into the Top 40
  21. I Think he signed 2/3 year dela when coming back to TDD so this is not a new deal.
  22. Well with Danillo Wyss sprinting to Top 10 two days in a row while Cav nowhere close he is showing what attitude he brings, If I was any cycling team principal, I would not sign him.
