  1. I am seriously considering investing in a set of Bragi wireless earbuds for those loooong boring pool sessions. Pity they are so expensive in SA. https://www.wareable.com/hearables/bragi-dash-review
  2. It's on my bucket list as well. "The swim itself starts from Robben Island Harbour. The way the crow flies, the shortest route is about 7.2 km, however with the prevailing south current in the channel, the crossing ends up at about 7.5 km swim. The swim is in the open Atlantic Ocean. The deep water comes from the Benguela current coming from Antarctic water in the South. The surface water temperature fluctuates between 11c to 18C degrees subject to surface winds direction. The water temperature during April is a reasonable temperature for experienced swimmers at 13C to 14C. This are of the ocean is rich with wild life of seals, dolphins, whales and occasionally great white sharks. There has never been a shark attack or viewing of a shark in the life time of the event. It is a beautiful breath-taking swim which is a must for every adventurous open water swimmer".
