Miles on end of district road is NOT a mountain bike race. That is a dirt roadie race. A mountain bike race is a race such as Magalies Monster, or the Nissan Van Gaalens for example and a few others. district road is not considered a MTB race, if there's more than 30% district road, I will not enter that and waste my time or money.

My winter gear is my watch, when it hits 7:30 ill ride if its before 7:30, I do not ride

Theres enough muscle boys walking around shopping centers and gyms attempting to look cool and pick up other men, we dont need them at MTB races.

Its a proper MTB race, not some half baked district dirt roadie race. Thats what makes this a race to do. I also hope they have enough COLD beers at the end.

If im oberying the rules of the road, I dont have to feel bad for someone who does not and in turn gets injured or killed due to his own actions. It is self inflicted. If I can stop in time Ill probably give him some choice words. If I cant stop, its his problem if he jumped the light. I do not risk my life be it on my bicycle or motorbike. You are responsible for your own actions.

You dont know me, I will be the same again. If he is a daddy and a hubby he should act responsibly and not risk his life. end of story

RED means stop, therefore your pain or early meeting with your creator is your own fault. Unfortunately, as harsh as that sounds, its the truth of the matter. A lubricants debate is like 26 vs 29 or ANC vs EFF... I only care that it's quiet and cleans easily when I clean the bike after a ride, smoove still builds up a thick gunk like squirt and that's equivalent to a blob per link. Not being heavy handed with the stuff at all. I'm an oil fan, it may go black and look siff but it does the job well with no thick buildup over time. I've used it on 3 rides so far, oil is a lot cheaper That's my 3c worth

It cant be someone that earns a reasonable living, not being nasty but to pay R4k to work and then still take the time off your dayjob with your own leave. No wonder they charge up to R10k for said entry form, they need to recoup something, I certainly would I guess Ill never understand the logic here

I agree with this. My other half bought a bottle a few weeks back and in all honesty I cant say Im wowed by it. It still gets dust and crap stuck to it like any other wax based lubricant or oil. Halfway through the Cradle Trophy race on day 1 we still had to re-lube as they chains were making noise and before any clever twit asks,did I apply it properly the night before?", the answer is yes I did. Did I apply it to a properly cleaned chain, yes I did. Best lubes I have used and that last the longest is Castrol GTX or Magnatec.... magnatec is a little on the thin side. If its bought to enrich someone in their garage it would be the white lightening Wet Ride, the purple colour one... does exactly the same as GTX. EDIT: Best part about the oils is that its less of a mission to get a nice sparkly chain when washing it with the powasol soap and water.

I couldnt agree more. Once you ride on two wheels and are generally at the front of all intersections, you have a front row seat to all rules getting blatently ignored. Green for me doesnt mean go, it means look left and right to make sure nothing is coming still.
