  5. hahaha thanks guys. the 175 will stay
  6. true Bman, so i might be a bit pedantic. Tarmac - wow, mm makes more sense! not much of a diference there then im 178 and my bike is large.
  7. Hi Guys According to ergofit i need a 172.5 crank length for my road bike, i currently have a 175. Is this significant or should i not worry about it? it obviously affects the drop as my seat should then be set 2.5 cm lower? My crank is the brand new shimano 105 (black) which has done 240ks (ok dont shhot me for using "brand new". Should i sell and get a 172.5 or keep?
  8. Thanks guys - please let me know if u find out whats up
  9. correct - apart from the illusive R the rims look exactly the same. and the hubs r definately shimano 105
  10. yes out the box.... im not a roadie, bought this for some training and to do the odd road race... Im not too bothered about it - just wanted to clarify.

  13. I spoke to the distributor earlier - hes gonna look in to it. He wasnt aware of the difference. Im not yet saying its fake, just want to clarify.
  14. Hi Guys Observation: Merida Scultura evo 904 comes with shimano 105 hubs and Alexrims (according to the website and the picture of the bike on the website clearly shows the rim with the spelling Alexrims) However if uv recently bought this bike - have a look at the rim - AlexRims is spelled Alexims..... (yes without the R) Anybody know why?
  15. i almost had a heart attack laughing at this
  16. the R100 000 is not deductible - its just the amount u are allowed to donate without atracting donations tax!
  17. By the way i am a tax and business planner - the company wouldnt be able to claim it as a donation as u cant give them a s18 certificate(Npo/pbo) would have to be advertising
  18. This can only be a deduction if the company claims it as an advertising expense. if sars queries - the co would have to prove genuine advertising. ie u would have to print logos on shirts etc..
  19. Nice Akadion - good to hear! im back at full throttle with cycling! legs are feeling great! very excited for lourensford classic this weekend! Need to start picking up some running now.
  20. 100% agree! - the minute you feel something wrong - get a professional diagnosis! dont let your mates tell u to Harden up and push through either! (tends to happen to me more often than not:/ its the rubber arm syndrome) hope u recover fast SwissVan!

  23. The stiffness lasted about 10 days (obviously getting better each day tho) yeah turning and stairs wernt too great! and also i sometimes forgot and stepped off the mark a bit quick which hurt! By the way - thought id start with some leg strengthening in the gym last week - although leg extensions wernt such a great idea as the next day i had some pain exactly where the op was done (not the normal muscle pain) but luckily didnt last too long. So going to wait a bit longer and rather just ride for now
  24. Im also on Discovery and havnt seen a bill all covered!
  25. Hey Arkadion, good to hear!! yeah its really not a bad procedure at all! all i wanted to do was take the bandages off and bend my knees! I went riding this weekend, my strength and fitness is definately starting to come back! really starting to get excited now! all i want to do is ride!
