  1. Ummmm...... it most certainly is a "government restricted area" and in this case run by SAN Parks (or TMNP)
  2. I think its a mix of guys from X body fitness and freewheel cycology? i might be mistaken though. not calling anyone out, i just know they rode on Wednesday night and last night and leave from Claremont. Not sure where they rode either.

  5. Just a warning to those guys who use the Bike lanes in Paarden Island (ct) My Uncle was cycling home last night after work at 5:30pm, he spotted a guy standing next to the bike lane just otherside of the tunnel near the N1, the guy was looking in the other direction so he didnt think too much of it. As he got close (+- 30kph) the guy kicked backwards/sideways and knocked him clean off his bike. He stood up and started shouting and the guy pulled a knife out, so my uncle turned around, picked up his bike and decided to fight back (he is about 6 foot 6 and strong as an ox). The attacker had a mate who then appeared but they decided to abort the attack and then casually walked away and through a gap in the nearby fence. Be safe out there guys.

  8. well i guess its going to be a little embarrassing for you when i come riding passed you on my antique perambulator..... (u stir the pot, i stir the pot) 29ers have their purpose.
  9. Guys talking a load of shite, look at companies like santa cruz etc, they still developing and releasing new model 26ers.... What the local distributors decide to import is a different story! I just got back from a cycling trip overseas and i think i spotted 1 29er on the entire trip! Its not all about XC racing over there! there are plenty people who enjoy and are buying 26 inch trail bikes!!!
  10. Iv done it the last 2 years in a row, nice event... if at zevenwacht again: short course 2 loops on bike, lots of climbing 1 single track section which is fun, 1 very sandy section. the run starts with long down hill then you turn and come back u the hill to the transition area - steep climb at the end.

  18. look out for the guy crossing the finish line at the DC this weekend with 12 timing chips around his leg.... the rest of us will be in the pub (technically he only needs 6 for us to get an official time - but there was a bit of a team fight when it came to deciding which 6 got to race, so we have ordered some light weight carbon chips from racetec in order for him to save some weight)
  19. Think i might do that - i was actually given a set of Look Carbo pro pedals when i bought the bike (not sure what they are like but they feel rather heavy!) Thanks - DC should be fun!
