  1. Thanks for the feedback Brad. We will definitely be sending out a weekly news letter soon. Just building up the member base to such a point that it will make a news letter viable. At this stage we just want everyone in the cycling community to actually know about alloutmtb and share everything we do on alloutmtb with everyone. We are really putting in a lot of effort to contribute quality articles/info to the community. I think the site already speaks for itself regarding that. I welcome positive and negative feedback as this will help us to constantly improve.
  2. Nic, If I add them to our bike shop list on alloumtb would you mind leaving a comment and rate them tomorrow. Will send you the direct link. It would also give them some more exposure.
  3. Hi Covie, Yes it is similar but also different. We will be trying to improve on the functionality of fittrack but will start off with the basics. The big difference is that it will be "Free".
  4. I'm sorry that you think the info (which is all cycling related by the way) and is free to everyone is spam. All the reponses we've had thus far was in the line of "thanks for contributing with an awesome site". And in fact I have sat up late nights putting together proper training programs (free) for fellow hubbers in addition to all the info, reviews and videos on the site. Sorry, I just take a bit offence to your "spam" comment.
  5. Hi Hubbers, AllOutMTB will soon be bringing you the ability to track your training incl gym training, running, bike riding, spinning etc. You will also be able to enter your HR stats. In addition to this you will be able to enter all the stats for your races and your achievements. You and your will buddies will then be able to compare your training and racing progress with some nice reports. So you and your buddies can compete even though your not competing Membership on is and allways will be free, so all of this functionality will automatically be free. No charge, no strings attached. Cant wait to launch it, we know it will benefit everyone who uses it. Will keep everyone updated as soon as its done. Happy training and happy riding!
  6. For those who havent seen the article yet. Very interesting read.
  7. For all you coffee addicts http://www.alloutmtb.co.za/content/nutrition-article-0 Enjoy!
  8. Will you PM me their details so I can add them to the list. And mind to rate them tomorrow on alloutmtb. Thanks KiNgL, will appreciate.
  9. Please PM the bike shops to me. Shop name Address Tel Email web address Thanks guys.
  10. Totally agree. I will add these cycle shops to our list on alloutmtb. Will mind to do the effort of adding your ratings there and comment. Will let you know when these shope have been added.
  11. I agree and you have a point. But then again you will always get those type of people in any industry but that doesnt mean we shouldnt make our statement and let ourselves be heard. Its exactly because of this that bike shops are getting away with murder, everyone is too scared too speak up. Dont get me wrong, the idea is not to just black list but also to praise good service. And thats why we will have a block on the home page for "top 5 best cycle shops" and not "top 5 worst". We will from our side verify all comments and ratings, it is to recognize most bogus comments and ratings.
  12. Hi Hubbers, Can you pls send the details of your local bike shop if it is not on alloutmtb.co.za yet. We want to try and get as many bike shops listed as possible. The functionality is currently on the site for you to rate the bike shops and comment on their service. As soon as the ratings start coming in will I create block on the home page to show the five best rated bike shops at any given time. Hopefully this wil have a big enough impact on the shops to start picking up their service levels. Currently service level all over SA are pathetic to say the least. We now have the power to change this. If a cycle shop performs great it will refelct on alloutmtb and the same will go for poor service. The success of this will depend on all of you guys. Almost like the hellopeter for bike shops. So, if you dont give your rating and comment on your local bike shop, you cant complain. Sounds like the local election. The link to a list of all the shops http://www.alloutmtb.co.za/allcycleshops I will add a filter search this evening to make it easier to find your shop in the list. Thanks to all of you in advance.
  13. Totally agree. Slacklining is also excellent for balance training which is a must for mtb'ing. So if you can setup a line to walk on at home or somewhere, do it. And never mind your core, your leg muscle will also get a nice workout. But....you cant rely on one exercise to train your core especially if you train for a specific sport. You need to target the core from every possible angle, hence the routines with different exercises. Thanks for the tip Avatar.
  14. Just refreshing the minds of those who haven't read this yet.
  15. I will publish an article with basic core strength routine and exercises that the beginners can do before they take on the above routine.
  16. Ive added some more demo links to the exercises in the routine. We will publish an article regarding explosive power training for mountain biking.
  17. I published this late last night. Enjoy!
  18. Ive written an article about recovery and the process of adaptation that very little riders know about or regard as important. Im sure this will be new to a lot of you. http://www.alloutmtb.co.za/content/over-training-recovery-not-enough Happy riding and please allow yourself to recover and adapt.
  19. Thanks hubbers, glad you like it. Please let me know if there's anything else you would like to see on the site. We have some really exciting stuff coming in the next few weeks.
  20. Reminder for those who havent seen this review and video yet. The last few minutes of the video is awesome.
  21. Come on hubbers. PM me and become part of this awesome game. There will not be an easier more exciting way to hunt down awesome prizes (not im saying hunt, not win). The guy/lady thats gonna find the first treasure is gonna be a very VERY happy guy/girl when the prize is revealed. All I want to say is that in rand value, its worth a lot.
  22. 2 times per week, with at least one day rest inbetween. Do exercise 1,2 on the first day and then exercise 3,4,5 on the second day. Do 4 sets of 10 reps on each exercise and dont rest between the exercises. Only rest after you completed a set of each exercise in the routine. I would suggest the following : Day 1 Floor sliders x10 Mountain climbers x10 Rest Do 4 sets Day 2 Floor slide scissors x10 Side ball slams x10 per side Spider stands x5 Rest Do 4 sets
