  1. Haha I am storing them Valves up as they have slime in...
  2. Clean the electrodes. There is probably rust build up. Scrape it off and perhaps consider taking it to a jeweller. They have a salty solution with electric currents that they put it in which clears away all the rust. Its worth a try. Alternatively when you train, hold your hand on your neck and count the number of beats for 180 seconds. Take the number and divide it by three and you should have a pretty good idea of your HR per minute ...
  3. Alternatively get this:- http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/145571685/Wahoo_Blue_HR_Heart_Rate_Monitor_For_iPhone.html This works with Blue Tooth as well as ANT+. So it will work on your Garming watch as well as in the Gym and on future Polar watches if I understand correctly. You also get `n code for the runtastic app so all in all it is a better deal.

  5. The belt and not the sensor? That's funny. My belt is 5 years old. Do you swim in salt water a lot? Do you have a lot of chest hair? R700 for the belt is ridiculous. I am sure they sell the belts separately from the transponder somewhere?
  6. Yes have them test the belt independently. Then at least you will know its that or the watch. Process of elimination.
  7. Try re-pairing the ant sensors again. Mode / settings / run settings / Heart Rate / Ant+ HR / Yes / Restart Scan Note that when doing this keep all other paired devices more than 10m away. If this does not work go to any Sportsman Warehouse. They have a tool that tests your HR belt + monitor. This will be a good starting point.
  8. Hi all I have a set of racing wheels. They have Tufo tubbies on them. However due to a lack of Iron distance races (and an indoor trainer) I basically use them 5 times a year at most. My question is how should I store them? Should I keep them pumped up at 12 bar? Should I put leather-softener or some sort of lubricant on them? Thx
  9. The weekend before IM I punctured on the trainer. It was then that I decided to get a Wahoo Kickr. No rear tyre.
  10. Assuming you are a cyclist I would say Indoor Trainer. But you have to get a proper one. Spinning is something you should do in the gym with other people and loud music and someone telling you what to do. How much money can you splash out? Rouxtjie will gladly point you in the right direction once he has learned your budget.
  11. Obviously the bike manufacturers would want everyone to believe that fakes are unsafe as this will protect their market share. My question is what is the cycle of a Pinarello before it goes onto a shelf? In which factory in which country is it made? Then does it get shipped to Italy afterwards and then the serial number (and made in Italy sticker) gets put on before its distributed and sold world wide or how exactly does it work? Do they do a quality control check in Italy as well?

  13. Ok cool so I will sell my bike to Kokki Venkatapattyraju and hold you responsible should anything go wrong.
  14. I am assuming that when new members with ZERO posts and funny names contact you with broken English about an add you placed you should be more careful? The next step is probably that they will pay by cheque deposit? Or am I paranoid? Is there a thread where we can verify these okes and paste their usernames without abusing innocent buyers?
  15. Can I have your email please? I also wanna send you some screendumps. I have a Wahoo Kickr Trainer but subscribed to the Vitrualtrainer Cyclops Application. My issue is specifically with the software application. The routes I wanna ride has videos yes and I then select to download them but it doesn't download at all despite having ADSL. When I import routes on the desktop PC (as you cant in the tablet) they disappear when I start my I-PAD up to actually ride them. I bought the sufferfest collection and has the TCX files. How can I import and synchrinise them? Thx for the help!
  16. The cheapest why to train at altitude is to just put a wet sock in your mouth and go ride as usual.
  17. Consider the Sun City event as well. I have never done it but am hearing good things. And its well ......... at Sun City FFS!!!
  18. If you really want to understand the topic then read "Born to Run" by Christopher McDougal. Read it anyways as it is a damn good book.
  19. I will run them in for you. I need a pair as well!!!!
  20. I have been wearing the 5 finger thingy on weekends. I have also been running with minimalistic shoes for the past 2 years. My times have increased massively and I have had not one injury like in the past. The secret is in the transition. Take it easy.
  21. http://my.virtualtraining.cycleops.com Does anyone have this on their I-Pad? When I upload the routes using my Desktop PC they do not pull through to my I-pad. Can anyone help me? I am communicating with the support guys but they are Polish so it is difficult. Also for some reason I really struggle to download the route videos even though I have fast ADSL.
  22. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/88483-specialized-allez-comp-price-drop/ This looks nice. But this bike is in Cape Town
  23. Hi guys I am looking to buy some indoor training DVD's. It will be a bonus if they have uploadable profile files (tcx) to go along with them. Please let me know if anyone is selling.
