  1. Yeah, now I'm told the parts have only been dispatched today, origianlly they were supposed to have them yesterday, I will only have my part on Thurs/ Friday(hopefully) Still don't understand after numerous calls & emails, I'm still doing all the chasing around. Now the other place doesn't have them in stock anymore, doh So frustraiting getting conflicting info
  2. I've also just put a pair on last week , they are great. Only done two rides with them They could be a slight bit "chunkier" if you ask me.
  3. I'm just wondering at what stage I should be pissed off, and have a good rant to someones boss. This is the scenario, Last week Thursday I contacted an online shop via email to inquire about some SPD pedals, I'm desperate for some new ones. So come 4 hours later and no response, I deciede to go on the human contact route and phoned the shop to get some answers. I eventually get the answer I didn't want so no problem I will try somewhere else. So I also have the same problem with this online shop, they don't take to replying to any form of written enquiries it seems, so I call them. I get told for sure the item is in stock, but the price is almost R200 more and the delivery is R75 for next day, so I go back to the original shop to find out when the stock would be in as I would prefer to do business with them, they tell me Monday for sure, great I think, they will let me know as soon as they are in. Then they tell me thank you very much for the loyalty, I say no problem, Ive always had good service from you guys, I an hold out till you have them. So come Monday, I get no word. I emailed and called and am still waiting on yesterdays phone call back, I sent an email today and still no word, I called and asked what was happening about 2 hours ago, I'm still waiting on an answer. So I pose the question, do I go to the top in order to get the answers I've been requesting in 8 different mails. This is highly annoying. Do I just go the other route and pay more? Hence why Im tring to also get a list of online shops What to do, what to do?
  4. So I see they knock off R8.5K on a Dura Ace groupset, is that being sold below cost or are they still making something off this? That seems crazy, so do they make anything out of the sale items, or is it just to get the stock out the shop, irrespective of losing money or not
  5. Its that one drag, that gets you back, cause the next time you've had a few, it will be, Howz a drag? Good luck and keep it up
  6. If this is a duplicate thread, I do apologise, but the search gave me nothing. Hope fully it can be a comprhensive list. Just looking at a list of shops like CWC or CRC based websites that are local, not just a shop that has a website.
  7. Just been seaching the various threads and can't find a complete list of what online shops there are based in South Africa. There are the two that I know of, CWCycles & BuyCycle, . I know there are way more, just can't find anything. So can you recommend some places to try.
  8. Thanks, It will happen I did save about R4000 when I had stopped for 4-5 months, I say save, I mean saved the money to spend on cycling gear & equipment.
  9. I know, I know - Just didn't expect to have my wife being made redundent yesterday, got the call at 3.00pm. So stressed at the moment I will get there eventually.
  10. I stopped Sunday night, back on at 3:05pm yesterday. Doh.
  11. What would you get for that wheelset then?
  12. Its pretty clever if you ask me, he is just being a middle man, good luck to him.
  13. I was reading somewhere the other day, they are doing the same thing with basketball matches, the LBL( Lingerie Basketball Leaugue)
  14. I watched a BBc show the other day with James May( topgear chap) where he built a complete house out of lego, complete with working lego toilet, shower and furniture. It inspired me to want to make furniture made from Lego. http://youtu.be/e1PxRt_MsgI
  15. I'm thinking the same thing Also I would go with the Tallboy, awesome ride
  16. I don't even have a garage, and soon could be without a house
  17. CYCLISTS are helping to get Britain back on the road to recovery. With the number of bike owners rising by one million last year, taking the total to 13 million, new figures show each cyclist generates £230 a year for the economy - almost £3BILLION in total. The figure, known as the gross cycling product, includes bike sales revenue and cycle-related employment. Experts at the London School of Economics say the health benefits could also slash tens of millions off NHS costs.
  18. We gotta make a plan quick or she is gonna be hell bent on going to Oz now Sucks for her, but we gotta see the bright side, can't let it get us down. As the great prophet George said, "you gotta have faith" Just as well I paid for for my new pedals already
  19. Eish, how was that? Thanks for that, any info will help, much appreciated
  20. I had a boss that did this in London, some guys had have been with him for 5 years. He did pay well though. We called it permatemp Thats pretty interesting, this never usually happens though( do you perhaps have a link to this), she was retrenched within 4 days the last time.
  21. She was supposed to be signing her contract in three days after her probabtion period finished. This after all the praises for cost cutting ideas she wanted to implement. Thanks for all your help, very much appreciated
  22. Had never heard of it till now, thanks for the heads up , it makes sense to a degree. Who decides? I agree that my post has no relevance to the OP. I have learnt something new today While we are on the topic of forum etiquette, how do I get the green boxes into a post if you wanna reply to multiple quotes
  23. I understand this to a certain degree, but why go about a stringent recruitment process simply to employ someone for three months filling the applicants head full of hope, telling them this is the right place for her, telling her to turn down the other offer( which she duly did) as this was a place where she could grow. Do people have no morals or ethics? They essentially then lured her into the company with false intentions. There is no way on gods green earth that they did not know financially what was happening 4 months ago when they went about the recruitment process. The dept my wife is in brings in most of the clubs revenue, which are short staffed as it is, they could do with more staff not less, this beggars belief in my mind. They already do about 2 hours overtime 3 out of 5 days in a week. The say they cannot afford to pay the overtime so they get given time off in lieu, which then they turn around and say we cannot afford to not have you in the office. I dunno, something may or may not happen, just need to explore all avenues.
