  1. Please explain further so as to avoid this happening to someone else kind Sir
  2. So what the best thing to do, keep my bike insurance seperate from household insurance? I need to get household insurance now as well.
  3. Was just taken the piss Im sure you are annoyed.
  4. Sounds more like they were telling you things needed to be upgraded instead of fixed
  5. Did no one suggest getting the wheel looked at and re-built perhaps? Next time come throw them away at my house.
  6. How excited were you to come up with your thread title
  7. How does your excess change with each claim? You would more then likely go through more claims then your average XC or trail rider. Yes/No?
  8. It is strange, you would think they would have the best available considering their involvement. It may just be a "Hub" scenario
  9. I've been thinking this, as I said to Saint, it also depends on what extras you have added, like for myself I have Fire, medical, I have a cateye etc etc. Then to also take into account what you have mentioned below.
  10. Then I'm on R180 on a R23 000, do you have any extras?
  11. I'm paying R180/month, all risk on a R23 000 bike with Cyclesure. That needs to be updated as I've got new wheelset and other upgrades. I feel like I'm being raped here, it also comes with personal insurance medical cover. I'm also paying brokerage fees.
  12. Can we get an amount of what youre paying for your insurance, who the insurance is with and the cost of the bike being insured. This way we could compare.(Like the "Hub Hippo")
  13. Where do I lock my bike when on my Thule Express, it doesn't lock onto anything? Should ones bike be locked to something on my bakkie? But the bakkie is a movable object. I think a call to each persons insurance companies and get them to explain the small print a bit just in case. Maybe go through a whole lot of scenarios and see what they say, then ask to get it all in writing.
  14. So rather get a complete frame & part breakdown as opposed to the cost to replace the complete bike. Then just phone that through to the insurers, does the document need to be a bit more official?
  15. Is everyone taking notes on how to make sure claims are succesful? For example if the garage has been robbed, yet no sign of forced entry, make sure it looks like there has been
  16. If you can give us the details of what they said to you, I will ring my broker(Liz O Brokers) and see what she says about Cyclesure coverage. As far as I was told, I am covered if they break into my house, and anything else except wear & tear.
  17. Im with Cyclesure, anyone else have problems? My bikes are locked in the house but not to anything, what happens if they steal them. will I not be paid out. Has anyone else had issues with Cyclesure, and should I think about changing insurers?
  18. A helmut, gloves and a good pair of shorts/ bib. I personally think the Siverback will be the better buy
  19. This is why I've got the cops onto it, from the details given to me
  20. They do talk about using it on public roads, but I'm still not convinced. I suppose if you have a pretty well trained dog it might be ok They do say it does come with a safety release system in place.
  21. and? Google was my friend. This may help you Tactic - http://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=82348
  22. Whats the positive & negative about?
  23. Use a flat headed screw driver, fit into the allen key hole and knock it in a bit, then try turning it, repeat if necessary.
  24. Just said that with the amount of stolen & hi-jacked bikes it looked a bit suspect, he seemed to agree. What with whats going on at Neilswheels, it does draw suspicion. If only from a couple people.
