  1. Thats an awesome frame. Maybe when I grow up
  2. yes i remember your post, and i replied, if you can stretch it to a Medium
  3. buy a raleigh if u can rather buy this? why on earth! http://www.felt.de/felt/picture/upload/Image/road07/800/f3c_07.jpg
  4. Thanks guys I got sorted late this afternoon. I should have my felt by monday.....whooohooo! Raleigh, been there done that, actually wanted a 2007 team bike, nobody had one to sell (M) I inspected every bike at the expo, the verdict, Felt rocks!
  5. My bliksem, like felt, have money, want felt. What is so difficult about that. First went to the distribution shop in gauteng (morningside cycles), no interest to sell felts. Then I met people from Bike haven at the argus expo who sells in cape town. At the expo they were very keen to ship the bike to me. Now, I keep phoning them to sort out the pricing etc. (need pedals and crank upgrade) , they just dont bother to ever phone back and finalize the damn deal. PLEASE take my money and give me a FELT !!
  6. I agree, after all, u buy the Levi's for the logo , not
  7. Yeah the expo came at a good time, I looked at all the brands there and I love the Felts, originally thought i'd go for the F4 (black/white) coloring -- would look good with those FSA's im eyeing, but the F3 just made my heart pump custard Most of the groupset is Dura ace (except the brakes and crank), probably would make no difference upgrading the crank to dura ace, but, hell, why not )
  8. No its kewl, I've actually decided on the Felt F3, just upgrading the crank to Dura ace and im sorted. Just wish someone stocked the FSA's (i like the rd 600's)
  9. Personally i dont mind the advice or advertising! There are WAY too little bike equipment offered online in SA ! How bout those FSA wheels OCTALL
  10. Thanks for the info Octall, I dont like either of the brands you mentioned. why is there no FSA wheels on your site! Now theres something id be interested in
  11. narra, buying from the guys that handled the argus expo felt stand, got the bike at the previous listed price (23900) - 7.5% , so its round 22k.
  12. Narra, im busy buying a felt, so its comforting to hear a felt owner's upgrade dreams include another felt !
  13. Step 1: Save a little longer and get a F3 ! 7.1kg vs 7.5kg, most of groupset is Dura Ace (except crank and brakes) Step 2: replace the ultegra crank with FSA k lite the F3 will be under 7 kg. (cheap at chainreactioncycles.com) Step 3: When you recover from this, replace the wheelset with something lighter. The equipes are 1.84kg Well, thats my gameplan Implementing step 1 this week, Whoohoo !!
  14. If you think they will make you faster, they probably will
  15. What about the FSA's ? like the post i made few mins ago (FSA 600's)
  16. (cyclingbargains.com is selling them for 375 pounds)
  17. Would these baby's be a good buy? Or would something from mavics range be better. I just love the look of these! "18 spokes at the front and 24 at the rear with clincher rims gives a weight of just 1525g per pair" http://www.cyclingbargains.com/images/products/p0995.jpg
  18. Nee die's nie bling nie, die's boksburg wiele
  19. Theres nothing special bout Schwinn, way too plain. And i think the PRO has ultegra. Its like the medira's, I was looking at the carbon one, 20k , FSA crank, post, handlebars etc, ksyrium wheels with ultegra. Everything seems to be nice, but the bike just doest do it for me. http://www.merida.com/s0_global/main_control.php?group0=bikes&group1=roadrace&bikeId=87
  20. ye i phoned morne bester in waterkloof, going to have a look over the weekend, only worry is that i've never seen those things anywhere else. Morningside imports pinarello frames, man its awesome, but at 25k a pop for the f4:13 , its clearly not for me
  21. Ok, from my poll to try and find out what factory bikes are hot and whats not, it became clear that buying a frame and building a bike is the best way to go. The question, which shops sell which frames? Please let me know if u've seen some affordable carbon frames (and where) I was at westdene lunchtime today, man they got some nice stuff, but cheapest frame was 15k for a Bianchi (quite awesome, but id like to weigh up some options) If I can get a nice frame between 9 and 12k I;d have enough spare for ultegra groupset and those bling wheels Thanks for all the comments and help on the poll.
  22. I dont think u pay import duty if you order frame and wheels etc. only for complete bike. But then they would still add the 14% VAT
  23. Interesting turn the Raleighs took on this poll.
  24. the cdales are nice looking, but i'd rather spend 3x that amount and get a 1kg frame
