  1. ja they used to on saturday mornings, but thats just a waste of a good long distance ride opportunity
  2. its called cyclesure, u break it, they fix it
  3. We usually park @ the total garage where n14 ends, ride from there on n14 to 1st ramp left (muldersdrift), left at circle, right at next circle, road is very quiet (except for bikers) and goes all the way to hans strydom, there and back is about 60km. And then once or twice a month goto suikerbosrand, going again this sunday During the week theres just 3 safe options, indoor trainer, spinning classes or kyalami.
  4. Man what a joke, they cant stop online trading. Next thing kalahari.net will get closed down coz it sells new release dvd's for R10 cheaper than musica? ... bu11sh1t. Also if not Marvulli, then use overseas sites like chainreaction.
  5. Thanks admin, my login is sorted
  6. waarvan praat jy koos?
  7. They had the 2008 road bike @ argus expo, very pretty, pitty bout the raleigh branding on it Kinda like riding a cannondale.

Suikerbos is a brave place to start out.
  13. Also spent the (sunday) morning @ suikerbosrand. Man that last hill isa bastard.
  14. Ive been going there with my cycle buddies for a few months now, its a nice workout. They are usually open mon-thu from 5pm onwards, dunno if the hours will change in winter. Some days the track is closed when they race/train cars or bikes. Charge 10 bucks for entry. Worth not having to look out for cars or dodgy characters.
  15. Two great choices, buy a Felt, or better yet, ... buy a Felt! and Dura Ace is not bling, its necessary bling
  16. is that per pedal or for the set ?
  17. During the week you can train at the kyalami race track, they open it for cyclists from 5pm most afternoons, safe and a good workout. Im there twice a week.

Big H, klink soos 'n lekke party, se net waar en wanneer
  19. man u dont wanna know about it, finally received it on tuesday (2 weeks after payment), and they sent it with a cheapscate FSA slk crank instead of the kforce lite i paid for. Yesterday i took it to westdene to take that crap off and put dura ace crank on. So needless to say, 3 WEEKS after my order i still have not been on the bike, but DAMN FELT rules, that thing is PRETTY WICKED. Bike haven in Cape Town will never see me again. Narra we might ride sat morning, the wife is moaning to go away but im keen to get on the bike (been 4 weeks since argus), will let u know if we do.
  20. Kona, is ur bike 6.9 with pedals etc. I'll need to cut 200g off my bike .. and thats prob. going to be the most expensive weight to loose
  21. less than 80 with bike Think its time for some meal replacement shakes, 7kg's to go
  22. some mothers have children others have bad luck
  23. pretty kewl site
  24. sounds like a plan. Normally kyalami during the week, its alot safer. On sun mornings we ride from N14 (by total) to Muldersdrift way, very quiet road. Some sundays we goto suikerbos nature reserve, dunno if you've trained there, awesome smooth road, no cars, and a HUGE mountain in the middle, thats seeee reeee jous hill training territory. (but i havent been on a bike since argus, sold my bike, didnt even collect it from the airport myself slowjoe2007-03-22 07:01:04
  25. Narra, ive spoken to Dan about Morningside (he's the importer), he also gave me Bike haven's details before i went down to capetown for the argus. They seem helpful, just very busy. I ordered the F3, basically dura ace (except the ultegra brakes and crank), I've asked them to replace the crank with FSA's Kforce lite (200g lighter than the ultegra crank). For pedals some Look keo carbons (230g). The brakes will have to do for now (im broke), who needs brakes anyway So the bike will stay more or less at 7.1kg (until I can afford to replace those Equips with some rolf vigor wheels Then that baby will be well under 7kg. slowjoe2007-03-21 15:44:33
