  1. Struggling to find details do you know who they were?

    Alcohol Ban

Not yet but it looks like we have some time to test this. Perhaps there's an undiscovered Blinde Eekhoring in the mix

    Alcohol Ban

Nice, always good to get a proper insight. Look the Kopdoek Feeks attracts a certain clientele mostly motivated by need as opposed to quality so perhaps a Beggar's guide would be more appropriate under the circumstances.

    Alcohol Ban

That's the one, dam are you suggesting that my next batch will differ from the first? We'll have to start a Platter's guide to grape juice soon!

    Alcohol Ban

My order for a number of cases of Kaalvoet Meisie from Hermanuspietersfontein has been caught on the wrong side of this ban. Having spent the money with an indefinite delay of enjoyment leaves a bitter taste, but I have a plan! 4 liters of fresh red grape juice sans preservatives from Woolies, a cup of sugar and a packet of yeast ( try get brewers yeast other wise you have bakers bouquet). Make sure to release the gas build up twice a day and 14 days later you have a lovely Rose which you can decant into the empty wine bottles and stick a Kopdoek Feeks label on it and enjoy.
  6. Security should be there and the guys from CSI Security are there until about 8h00 in the morning, official opening is from 7 to 17h00. I have no reason to say this but I just feel that the safety won't be great until we recreate a "rhythm " in terms of riders and security, so be careful.
  7. For those that ride here Klapperkop is open again from 7 to 17h00. Be careful we have no idea what the safety is like so don't ride on your own.
  8. Last incident was in August last year and I have no idea of the current trails or safety other than to speculate that there's a lot more desperate people out there so be careful.
  9. Technically Wolwespruit MTB is at least 2 levels up from Rosemary Hills I don't know much about Hennops. The 5km (4.5) trail run has two nasty climbs but it's relatively mild from a technical point of view the 10km run has a lot of climbing and a bit more technical.
  10. Also used David Marshall on Spoke & Spanner he's a hubber too.
  11. My timing for the next pullback is July / August when the poor second quarter results are published. In my opinion that will be the first time the market is going to price in the reality of COVID, at the moment it seems to be driven by hope for a V shaped recovery. In the meantime expect a roller coaster ride.
  12. Interesting Saffa connection. Thankfully, such discomforts likely can be minimized by judicious mask choice and fitting, says Christa Janse van Rensburg, a professor of exercise science at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, who wrote the commentary about masks with her graduate student, Jessica Hamuy Blanco.
  13. Not therehttps://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/question-and-answers-hub/q-a-detail/q-a-on-covid-19-and-masks
  14. This is in line with my protocol and I have adjusted my exercise times to avoid the rush. Unfortunately on the trails I can't always avoid coming into close proximity and that's where I want more consideration from fellow trail users. As I said to an idiot at Wolwespruit on Friday the correct distance is about that of a straight right, he got the point.
  15. Nope, that just states the obvious about exercise being good for you, this link is the when on how on masks and I couldn't find it here.https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public/when-and-how-to-use-masks I was hoping for more on the intricacies of exercise and masks, so it seems we remain with the two camps of we don't have to wear masks and on the other side we need to wear masks if we are in close contact with others. The WHO Facebook post effectively says we should social distance as the most important prevention but they don't deal with the what to do in the event of exercise within the close proximity to others and whether the benefits of wearing a masks outweighs the negative aspects. Although I am fooling myself if I think that any directive from the WHO would be accepted by those that don't want wear masks under any circumstance. So the debate will rage on.
  16. Why can't I find this on the WHO website?
  17. I think he is trying to keep the horse alive.
  18. We're actually seeing a delay of almost 60 days and the excuses are all COVID related. This is going to have serious implications for the economy in our case it's a serious sum of money.
  19. Believe me we as cyclists are not popular with our municipal parks officials here in Pretoria either. As one official told me "Why should I worry about cyclist you are the most self centered group out of all our communities, you guys never do anything in the park except complain." They're constantly looking for a reason to exclude us from their parks, I can't say it's has been an easy task to represent our cause.
  20. Either way the trails are closed and now Sanparks can justify their decision.
  21. I'm sure these hikers will receive ample support from the unmasked on here for this. My guess we'll start off blaming Sanparks for being law abiding.
  22. My I ask you when your own article on this thread disproved your narrative, where was your logic then?
  23. Shall we call them rebels without a course?
  24. How about people not wearing masks staying at home?
